this theme had been discussed once but i forgot where

the leader of an alliance has all might and info with him, which can lead to two problems:

1) the leader cant manage all the stuff

2) the other players are just members but have no right and info

some rights should be(by leaders decision)

a) shared to all
b) shared with some choosen by the leader
c) MOVED to ONE other member

those are:

a)control of the mtg
b)alliance fleet screen
c)alliance( not "round") messages
d)dismissing members
e) control of passwords


my suggestion is c) MOVED to ONE player
and a),b),c)

the moved makes sure that other players than the leader can play an important role within the alliance.. the rights are moved from the leader to another player... he has them no more...but can take them back or give it to another player if he thinks that decision were wrong...

with fleetscreen and mtg you could create a "Commander of war" which orginazes fleet actions

with messages you could create a "foreign minister"

with passwords and dismiss you could create a "internal security minister"....

I put in a ship for some of that stuff, called it a fleet commander I think. I think with the mtg its a bit hard cos the leader has to pay for it.

I think we should use soem helpers for the leader
I remember in last game i used to play there was a leade and than the commander of cominucation the commander of war and ....
it is good to have them cuz it is really hard for the leader to control everything by his self. let members vote for commander or leader choose him.

i think a C.O.W. for the fleets screen and the mobile twg would be nice
and anotherone for the incoming alliance messages.

so do you thing it is hard to realize ?
i it will bring another possibilties into the game if not all the might necessary lays at the leader ....

the C.O.W is a cool idea

i like it and the commander has enough to do with writing mails and stuff.

So we will have 2 new ones COW
and what about COC (well that is kinda uncool) so what about MOC (minister of comnucation)

it is done:
there is a Commander of war for the Alliance Fleet screen and the mobile TWG
and a Minister of Communication who gets the alliance messages.

the leader has both of them in the beginning and he can elect one or two players for the posts.

we tested it a lot, but please tell us, if there is something strange

it took a week from planing it till finishing it.

I think the leader should be able to retain the fleet screen as well .
And I think the mtg should send its location to the alliance automatically.

i think the new option improves alliance play by miles...

the idea of starlight to the autosending its position within the alliance can be considered i think....

i think it is too dangerous if all members know the position.
imagine a spy in your alliance or the problems when you are taking new members and you still dont want to tell them everything

Ah I meant as well as the COW not instead of.
And as for spies, I think they would take notice of the messages regarding the mtg anyway. Probably more notice than the real allies

i dunno man, i think cow should'nt be able to do that, what if the cow is a spy, he can easily give out all info about alliance to outsiders, i am personally not happy with leader seeing my fleet either.(my leader is great but for other alliances)

i think its good the way it is, mybe give some more work to MOW.
about the alliance memebrs knowing where mtb is, well i like that idea. cuz that way they can use it to go there!!!
