the ship is similar like the eye in the sky vessel and also works together with the piramid device but the function of the ship is too scan for ships on pre-warp planets like the archeologie expedition

Take the same concept that you are trying to do with the blackbird and design a probe that works like the scout probe but picks up pre-warp placed ships along it's path. Give it a scan radius of about 2 sectors and a speed of about warp 10.
The tricky part will be recording the ships it finds on the prewarp worlds it flys over when you are not looking at it.
I would vote for something like that
