1. When you know how to use every ship to its maximum potential.

2. When you can look at a ship's syntax and understand exactly how it would work instantly.

3. When you have learned all the tricks and tactics of multiple fleet use. Both using multiple fleets, and being able to attack them solo.

4. After you have made a name for yourself, and any alliance would accept you just on your name alone.

5. After you have been stomped completely, ruthlessly, and mercilessly, time and time again, and learned from it.

I can personally help you with step five, meet me at the Nebula.

lol he wants too help u with number 5

i think ur not a noob when u can look at your battle reports and understand how the battle happened, how you lost or won, what could have happened which would make the battle go better, what which ships would have been better too use and if there was a bug in the battle or not

Those are a bit strict. They are probably better applied to becoming a veteran.

Ill say you are not a newbie any more when:

1. You have a basic understanding of how the class battles work, and can figure out how the ships work fighting in their own class and against other classes.

2. You have taken the time to read the manual and much of the archived forums.

3. You can read battlereports and figure out what happened.

4. You have developed past the curiosity phase of Spacetrace, and decided that you will seriously dedicate time and effort into learning the game.

Still, feel free to meet me at the Nebula.
