What is SpaceTrace ?

In the last 24 hours, I experienced the part of ST that I found extremely enjoyable. It was doing battle with opponents from other alliances while maintaining a playful banter filled with mutual respect and dignity.

I thought " This is what Space Trace is supposed to be". Some players, I think look for this, while others, look upon everyone else as "The Enemy".
Some show blind allegence to thier alliance while others move from alliance to alliance to accomplish thier goals whatever they may be.
It would be interesting to see how the community feels, as a whole, to what the game means to them.
Perhaps a somewhat meaningful survey could be run if the proper questions were asked? What kind of questions would you like to see?

I think of everyone as neutral, I think my alliance members are my friends, and their enemys are my enemys. I would like to have qeustions such as :

1.What do you think of a player who is not in a enemy alliance?
2.What do you do to gain points?
3. What does your alliance mean to you?
4.What is your goal in Spacetrace?

Ingame, all are potential enemies. That doesn't vanish the respect all players deserve by nature.

Yes integrity, loyalty and respect for others are very important values. To me the game is a way of playing with friends and to be able to laugh about things while playing together kicking someones a s s.
Or maybe the other way around, having fun on IRC while circling around each other like two dogs waiting for the other one to strike, constantly watching, jumping up and down, get ETA's perfectly matched etc. etc.

That is what makes this game more then a game, it is a whole community. That is what makes this game an addiction
