race probe

the race probe is half-invetigation probe. it has a lower scan radius but it also views the race and evo of the player, this way you know who to pick your fights with. because of more hardware it is heavier thus slower.


scanradius: 5

speed: warp 5

researchtime: 1 d
buildingtime: 5 h

The idea is good but its not useul enough to implement, its kinda hard thinking of new stuff. I agree.

1 it doesn't have a syntax argue

2 you can look at what race somebody is by clicking on the players name, then you get a message screen and at the top his name and race appear

3 knowing someone's evo isn't helpfull. looking at his battle history thus trying to find out what his tactics are and deep-scanning him is more usefull.

2. I forgot about that.
3. that can be debated.

I am still kinda new. And do you have to mock me in everything i do? Shut up, its a waste of time, its not like im offended.

I can give help, I'd like to help let you become a better player. And about the inventing:

1 There is. I can show you, I can give you a guide by pm. There really is, and otherwise you can post one later on in this thread based on what you can learn of the syntaxes in the manual

2 can happen to all, np.

3 yes that can

But please, try to accomplish this:

interesting idea, but knowing the past battles of a foe would be useful, just as william said.

i like the idea.

how about a more detail DSP, gives you infomation of one players fleets...what he is using etc...

but that might b a bit unbalanced...

inventing isnt my strongpoint lol

rubens might have a stronger opinion...

Rubens will have a strong opinion as usual, he will think it is too strong and makes it too easy for all players to own space. He likes to keep that job to the pros

well giving evo's won't help som1 too much, it'll show they're vulnerable if it's low, but it won't tell if they had 4 veterans watchin their back or not, so it is kinda useless

although i encourage u to keep tryin tough guy

No good , try another one
reason it has no use to know someones EVO . it will only make it easier to pick out the NooBs to attack them . if you have a high Evo you won't be under attack because you could have lots of nice ships that scares the ones looking for easy scoring .
So it has only use to people that don't really understand the game and want to make big scores by hitting less evo players (NooBs) only

see? where can I put the syntax? This the wrong one. But theres no syntax in the probe. and ratchet spammed you know. he only did qoute.

At least people are now able to put forward (at least partly) sensible inventions, unlike the last time I played ST when it seemed like every other day some n00b was trying to create a doomstar rip-off with 1mp and 1hr build time THAT got frustrating. There doesn't seem to be that kind of shit any more, which is good.

No, this topic shouldnt be closed till the autor(who recognized his invention) understands why is his ship good or bad.
I can close this or take it to the imposible inventions easily.
1-Nanite technology? It should be for everyone(Just preventing that someone add somethings. You just choose all the races, so it ould be done
2-Gravobionic as a needed research? Once and again the probe hasnt a relation to that research
3-Research time:1 day...When have u seen a probe that takes more than 1 day to be researched? and even more useless if you compare this as a standard investgation probe
4-It takes 5 hours: Less scanradius, less speed, and more time to be builded?
5-As many players said before. you are just getting an extra feature, the evolution of the enemy. a)If you are doing this just like an investigation probe you will have to re-send this to the planets already scanned to see their evolutions. B)Why would you see the enemy's evoluton?As the admin said, there is no difference between a good fleet structured of standard ships and other fleet with others ships. Even so, there is no point to see his evolution, because a player can change his fleet or use standard ships anyway.C)As you can see the only good thing is that you could see when a enemy(that surely would have to be near) has reached the 100% and the apostate comes to his planet.
6-As you undesrstood the "raze" or "race" is not a feature of this probe.

Extra-things about it, this, you, and he...LOL

Though guy, if you read one of your posts you sa
id you are still a noob. So, why would you waste credits making this probe if you are not sure that it would work for our community and that it would match with the game?.There are wormholes waiting for your credits

@Vrictus, certainly it would be unbalanced and too powerfull. And a DSP that gives you information of past battles would be uselss.
