181 firepower increased
159 wasps vs 1 shipyard
23 wasps vs 1 defensive array
14 destroyers vs 1 shipyard
7 destroyers vs 1 defensive array






1 defensive array defends in class 2: 10 ships

3 destroyers
7 wasps
Enemy :
1 defensive array

If I calculated right, the ap should have been enough to destroy the shipyard...so why isn't it destroyed? And why did some wasps and destroyers fight against the array when the shipyard was still standing?

Hmm, I had trouble figuring out this br, one calculation I did showed not enough firepower if If you read the fire power increased message as a total of all. But its rather tricky. The wasps start out with only one ap,
It may have something to do with battle order too. As to the array and shipyard, maybe the array was shot first?. I also dont think the ap increase is cumalative but am not really sure about that.

Well ok I come up to 3274 attack points against the shipyard... that's not really enough. But it would have been enough when the ships wouldn't have fought against the defence array.

I always thought the defence array gets one turn in each class and not two...look at class 4 fight.

This is the whole battle-report - I just left out the ships before. And the array gets its turn one time in class 1 fight and another time in class 4 fight (btw: I didn't mean the one at the very top but the one after that).

Here is another br where what I maybe misunderstood gets more clearly:

i see: in the first battlereport the defensive array only shot in class 1 and 4 because in class 2 and 3 the class-battle ended before it started its action cause the only destroyer and cruiser were destroyed before

Maybe you can invent one.
But I think the array shouldn't shoot in any case because then it's more or less impossible to make points against a base...

@admin: my actual problem was, that it shot both in class 1 and in class 4 and not just in class 1 (I thought it would shoot at every class one time)... But it's clear to me now how it works.

My ? is ,In this battle report why didn't the warp modifie the cruisers or does it only modifie class two ships? For the way I read it. would modifie any 4 ships.

Well I always thought it would modify other classes, too but when I look at the syntax it says the wasp only modifies class 2 ships. Actually that's no big problem because you can't modify too many class 3 sips anyway.

Hummm I see never looked at it that way on the class 3's and where did fined that imfor on the wasp, that it only modifies class 2's
I only saw it say in the manual that it modifies 4 ships by a +5 in more fire power but i guess it could be like the class 1 commando fighter ,but in the case of the wasp, it doesn't blow its self up after it takes its turn. :smile:

If you look at the detailed description of the ships in the manual you'll see a link called "view battle details". If you look at it you see what exactly the ship does.

battle details:
fights
(battle engine syntax: f)
modifies AP/LP by +5/0 of 4 ships of "any ship-type" in your own fleet in class 2
battlemessage: "firepower increased"
(battle engine syntax: mod,self,4,2,all,+,5,0,firepower increased,n)

ok I read it:Any ship type in your fleet mean only class 2's so its like the commando ship that modifies class 1's so this ship modifies class 2 ships Thanks I forgot to look at the battle details of the ship.

Your array gets one turn in each class fight. In this case class 1 fight was finished before the array got its turn and as there were no other class fights it couldn't get another turn...

i guess the boiunty hunter got his turn before the fighter (it is still a random order) so there were do ships, that he could destroy, otherwise the mothership would have been blasted
