be wary though...
if you join an alliance that is at war
you become a target
however, if you wish to remain nuetral from current events, you must make sure you new leader makes it clear
that fact you are a n00b, is only a small amoun t of protection
there are players in this game who love to n00bash
if this happens
post it on the forum
and they shall be dealt with accordingly
yours truly....... |

Well im gonna ask kirby to discuss that with pfius leader because i dont think its right IF WE DO go to war with them, that the new players should be being picked on, we can do enough damage to the players who are already pros and so on, ie. Mighty, Tee, Big Mama, Plasmifie. and im sure you have more experinced players in that alliance now but anyways as i know it wont be fair on the new comers i will ask kirby or the CoW to speak to you about it.

defiance might be a good starting out alliance it wasnt for me when i joined basically because when i joined i was the only one who was ever online but for a new player it might be good you dont want too jump straight into the deep end with TLC or PFUI when your new _________________ "Although the constant shadow of certain death looms over everyday, the pleasures and joys of life can be so fine and deeply affecting that the heart is nearly stilled by astonishment" - Dean R Koontz |

The threat of war has really helped our guys. There is more alliance communication, the guys are starting to understand the importance of data collection before battle and we are working more as a team. Most of our Guys now have a couple of months of experience and I'm not getting the frantic calls like earlier that members are about to be attacked and requests for assistance.
This is good and some of our new guys even have positive score which is outstanding considering thier position and experience.
It is nice that TLC are reconsidering thier position on thier battle tactics and as I have said before, we are not adverse to being attacked by anyone. Where the problem lies is when a new player keeps getting re-visited by someone who has found an easy "mark" and keeps going back for more points from them.
New players who join us do have some protection by keeping thier membership secret until they are ready to move out into the harsh world of ST and make thier presence known.
Regardless, there is safety in numbers.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone |

Well war is good for all alliances that take part and sometimes good for those other alliances that are not taking part. But Tee if your sure your alliance is ready for a war if we have one they must be either very stupid or very courageous _________________ APEmpire |

Why do I only hear propaganda in here instead of some good advise?
I will advise an alliance that I am not in myself: NeutralZone.
Just ask Davalan of Arcatal or ReneeDavis of Timor Leste. |

I have had the pleasure of talking with both Dave & Renee in the IRC. They are virtual encylopedia's and are sure not shy about giving fleet tips.
Certainly a good choice as well for an alliance. I think I heard Dave mention that regular attendance is important though. It's tough having 12 players and only ever see 6 on-line.
Certainly makes waging war a problem and can be a drain on the alliance score. I don't mind the drain of new players as long as they are working to improve. The inactive players drain I'm not too fond of but that is a hazard with new players. The challenge is to get a good interest in the game very early in a new players experience and that helps the high attrition rate that training alliances suffer from.
Anyone have any ideas that can help achieve this?
