a problem could be, that alliance members start cheating by bashing a newbie inside the alliance that has zero points.
but thats cheating like playing against a farming account |

Im with Inatic on this one, too many changes and whats the good if you cant go below zero? Youd just have people that go around doing whatever because they dont get negative, altough there are some people who do that already, but theres not point, im stilll negative but gradually getting out of it by learning different ways of making fleet combos, it gives me something to do while learning how to play the game. _________________ 11/11/11 |

I agree that this could be frustrating to any player... especially new players, but this is also helpful if someone is trying out a new race... why have to make up double your points loss just to be on a positive score...
@ alliances going into the negative - not so sure that this would be a good idea as the current way that CTF is setup - how would this change influence CTF? |

I think we should ask the noobs on this one.
Or make it an option on the 'registe' section? Just a simple question:
'Do you want your account to be able to go into negative points, or do you want your score never to drop below zero?
That would make everyone happy _________________

No one wants their score to go negative, but if does go negative, you have to do more stuff to get it out of negative score, therefore you fight more and get more experiance. _________________ 11/11/11 |

Hello Admin.
Here is another one you started 5 years ago asking if newbies needed help.
Again the vets said now way why help?
You know yoy need to do something and no matter what the vets say Zero points is still not a win. The top 5 allainces all have positive points.
Admin you need to ask the vets what are they afraid of?
It can't be a few new players in the game that might be better than them? |

don't push a fight spacegamer.
we're not afraid of anything except ST suffering from careless changes. and unlike most of you new people, we speak of experience... |

what about the the point that u cannot come into a negative score as long as you are in a newbee alliance.
when u do the decission to leave this one you can get negative. so you can choose it by yourself, to feel the hard ST war world, or beeing a bit point defended by the noob alliance. |

i don't understand what you are afraid of?
it is not a big change:
you cannot go below zero
thats just normal: if you don't have any money you cannot loose any
i think it will not impact the gameplay of active players that all have positive score, it will just protect some new players from frustration of having negative score and no idea how they should make so many points to get out again.
we are not changing a lot, just little changes that should do the trick
don't be so conservative |

I agree with admin .
I also think it should be made an option though, in the 'register screen'. _________________

i also agree now that i think about it
i dont know why anyone would disagree, i guess i didnt
understand it at first. or maybe i was half asleep...
ow and i have an example of why i changed my mind, me being a newbie i thought i would seek out another newbie to target, so i sent my dsp to a player inactive for four days and i found 3 fleets ffrom an active alliance bashing this newbies base |

yes. i agree with implementing not going below zero score.
but i oppose the idea of players with more points scoring less from players with few points. it has too many balance issues and other buts. |

I still dont like it, i like having to work to get out of negative points, i have to fight, i have to learn to use different setups, different things to win, if you cant go negative, some people might not care and just go around screwing with people, blowing up newbs bases and just sitting there forever because even if they lose there not going to go below negative, and it might be easier for people to get to the top, cause if you never go negative, its easy to just bash someone and always be positive and just keep doing it, and no one is going to be able to hit you into negative so you have to work your way to get to the top. _________________ 11/11/11 |

Awesome idea. Were not going to be seeing high pointed players anymore though. You should reset the High Score board or something, make it more like people can actually achieve something. Archive the old ones of course. _________________ -==Frag the Weak, Hurdle the Dead.==- |

I agree with Noxus. I don't know what I would give to see my name on that highscore list , especially as I'm 7th atm, it's all going good this account _________________

ok, to make it all clear:
we want to change the bolow zero drop (without option)
we will not implement the scoring diference jet, that is too complicated to decide so fast
i started a new poll about the drop below zero change here:
