jup, I'll bet there still are some multi accounts but this does clear the game a bit,
we should only advertise it a bit, and emphasize the strong points of ST,
some people say Omerta is better (something like that..) but ST is much more tactical
ADVERTISE !! why don't we advertise ST just like those dumb pOrN sites do on our forums! _________________ The spartans do not ask how many....

Defenetly that there are less cheat accounts. when there were 350 accounts it symbolised almost 200-250 players, so the loss is almost nothing _________________ Feel the force of the warelephant |

well, as far as I know, CTF for one has put a few players away... I suppose, also the respawn-system might have something to do in some cases. The latter is more of a guess, but still, with the respawn system, a lot of the excitement - particularly at the end of the round - is no more. _________________ _____________________________________________

I remember that too, but multi accounts were rampant then. I bet each multi had three or four planets at the time, so we probably only had 300-400 players.
You cant just blame the changes, a lot of people quit because of changes in their life, too. Spacetrace demands a lot of time, and life changes (new job, college, girlfriend, etc.) puch Spacetrace down in priority. Right now, I am 31 with a wife and kids, plenty of time to play. If I was in high school, I would have a lot of time, too. Come 18 years old, its all about partying, drinking, and girls until about 25 or so.
You probably wont ever hear, "Sorry guys, I cant go to the bar tonight, my fleets are going to arrive at Schmuck of Schmucksters base in about an hour, and I have to reconfigure my fleet before I get there." On the other hand, I find it easy to tell my wife to "pound sand, I have a battle in five minutes, do the dishes yourself!" |

lol You're right Ace.
But it's still possible to combine partying and Space, look at Armedes, He's a partyanimal (or a partyslut,, whatever you like) and he is number 1 right now.
So about that point you can reconsider what you've said, but mostly you spoke the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth _________________ Feel the force of the warelephant |

The biggest problem I see why the game isn't getting more players is that experienced players keep praying on newbies. I've watched 8 new players that had their planets start close to me and everytime I saw more experienced players just obliterate the new players as soon as their protection ended. And ALL 8 of those players ended up quitting right after that happened. Why should new players keep playing when they don't even have a chance to figure out which way is up before someone is blasting them to oblivion. Then without new players in the game all the old players have to play against is each other so they get bored and quit. As far as SpaceTrace taking up a lot of time....that's bull crap. This game doesn't even take up a hundredth of the time so other games out there that require you to be constantly building and mining, etc. I don't know if longer protection periods are needed for newbies or what. I played one game where a players experience and points were compared against anothers before they could battle each other, which kept the big powerful players from picking on less powerful, newer players unless those newer players were in alliances then all bets were off and the point and experience differentials didn't matter. Anyway.......it's too bad this game is dying....it's a very good game compared to a lot of others I've tried. |

Nice to hear from ya Elizaluv welcome back to the forum
I remember when i started i got attacked three times in a week by the same person...
You know how annoying it is to log on and see that your SY and RC have been destroyed and with take however long to rebluid and having an incoming that would hit 1 hour atferwards it was BS...
I mean how many of the people in the top ten dont attack Noobs ... I know the people in NZ dont coz we get our points from wiping out fleets at the score planets... Ihave never even seen half the player in the top there.. that swankbaster guy was right about how poeple just pick on noobs... very sad really.
So from now on im going to offer my services to noobs around me ... ill loose points yes... but who care it will get more people into the game :d
PM if you are getting attacked by noob bashers and ill see what i can do about it _________________ Follow the blood and you will find me!

1st thing, WHY THE HELL ARE YOU GOING AFTER INACTIVE MEMBERS?
2nd thing, DID YOU WARN NZ BEFORE ATTACKING HIM?
3rd thing, If a member of your alliance was being bashed while he was inactive you wouldnt stop by the attackers base to say "thanks"
INACTIVE PEOPLE HOW MANY POINTS DO YOU GET FROM THEM LIKE 2k thats sad very sad ... might explain again why people are leaving
What did you learn today dont attack peoples bases while they are inactive you might get points but after a while there alliance will kick your arse... _________________ Follow the blood and you will find me!
