Dunno whether its a bug, but I had it very often lately. I send my fleets out, but after a few hours I cant moove ships between them anymore, because they do not reside at the same sector. These things happen randomly, even if I dont change the direction of the fleets. Its getting a bit annoying tough. Does anyone of you have the same problem?

I have noticed this a lot. It seems the fleet with my shadowstar goes at a different speed when it is cloaked. When it is not cloaked, my fleets stay together much better.

As far as synchronizing your fleets in midflight, its easier to do if you are approaching a destination, so you can see the seconds.

Sometimes they just wont line up right, and you end up sweeping back and forth over the BH (or other scoreplanet, enemy base, etc.) for 15 mins trying to get set up!

Its not really hard to get your fleets in order its only tricky when you need to match all 3 of them that takes a good 10 mins or so

i think this bug is fixed now.

if fleets get out of sync, (which could happen, if the calculation of the fleet position was exactly at the border of a lightyear) now they get resynced

if it happens again, please tell us

Admin...fleet sync is again a problem if you have Shadow Star in one of your fleets. They get farther out than the fleet sync button can recapture it immediately after you change direction or co-ords. Being cloaked or not makes no difference.

Pls look into this when you get time.

The problem happened to me after the updates were done. I used Shdow STR last evo and did not notice the problem as severe or disabling. Before, it took a long journey to get flights out of sync in last era but they easily synced up again. Now, this era they go out of sync with any course change immediately.

Bump. Admin... currently the Shadow Star is virtually unusable in conjunction with other fleets. Please have a look when you get time.

I wasn't the moderator that posted the 'mod talk' - that would have been failtrip that added the 'mod talk' to min and jacks posts as I can only moderate the multi reports secton

ah ok, now i understand:

one of our moderators edited the posts of DL and Jack09
and he wrote MOD TALK under his edit

@moderator:
please don`t do it this way, when i read the posts, i do not know who writes that, everybody could write MOD TALK under his post and that would be confusing.

if you want to write something as a moderator, please do a new post, so i know it

and such stuff where DL and Jack are just arguing about nonsense can be deleted without problem

thx

Thanks Admin... I was mistaken as well with regard to who posted what.

Pls accept my apology on my misunderstanding.

I was under the impression that nothing would be done to repair the bug.
Take whatever time you need to fix it but I really like the shadow star to protect my "eye-in-the-sky" and fight with as 3rd option.

we cannot generate the bug on our testsystem

when exactly does it happen?

in which directions are the fleet flying?
maybe just if they fly up or down one sector?

(it could have to do something with the rounding up or down one hundreth of a sector)

I have not used Shadow Star since last complaint was made.

It was very evident however, I don't think it was a "linear" change meaning... I coud fly for 8 hrs and fleets did not always go out of sync. The Shadow Star seems especially susceptable.
If I changed course direction, the sync problem seems to show almost every time. Flying back and forth eg: 500/500/49 - 500/500/51 over 500/500/50 base really caused the time shift to happen. Very evident almost every time course change was done.
It was also consistantly the fleet with the Shadow Star that was affected.
I will try a shadow star again and see if it still is as apparent.

I could not find the edit button to add...
Also check out the Pirate Flagship. If I remember correctly, it would sometimes go out of sync but if memory serves, it too was more apparent when Flagger was operating under "cloak" mode.

I cannot verify this evo that this happens as well to flaggers.
