|
|
Hey people,
I know that many people do not use the production queues, maybe its cos they dont work. (Or theres a bus in my ST cos mine dont!)
I would have thought that the queues were there so that if you happen to loose some ships freeing mp the queues would start and production of ships will start imediately. But they dont! They only start when you next log on. In that case whats the point of them.
I think it would be very interesting if the queues did work properly cos it would make attacking of bases much harder i.e.....
Once u have built all ur ships and used up all ur mp. U can then make a list/queue of the next set of ships u want to build.
This means u can send ur ships off to fight some one and logoff for quite a while. And when u come back the ships u need for the next attack are already in production or already made so all u have to do is bring ur motherships/fleet back and as soon as they get back u can send them out without having to wait for production time.
Also it means that ur base will always be protected. And if u think that getting online will be difficult for a few days. Make a long queue so that if u r attacked while u r away ur shipyard will automatically start building ships to replace the ones u have lost.
I know that ST wants a good following and more members to play. At the moment noobs who have lost lots of points because of attacks when they are offline may get disheartened and stop playing. I think getting the queues to work properly would benefit because it would mean they would stay longer so get to liking playing ST and the community affiliated to it.
What do u think?
Ryn
PS All that could just be because I have a bug and my queues dont work as I described. If urs do tell please! |

Thats cause changes to whatever ( ships might be finished at 4 pm if you log on at 5 pm then they'll appear.) only really happen at login time. Just as with Battles, they happen when 1 of the 2 players comes online. |

yes, it would be a lot more programming.
you can use the queue as it is now like a note for yourself, what you were planning to build next, so you don`t forget.
starting the new productions while you are not online
it was quite a while, i programmed the queue, but i think, in some cases it even works if you are offline already. but to correct it that it works everytime is difficult to implement, but we will do it one day, when we have a lot of free time for it |
