wormhole portal (class 4 ship)

this heavy armoured orbital station establishes a wormhole through which you can reach all other portals in the galaxy (the travel time is reduced by a factor). this network of wormholes can be used by any player. a wormhole portal can be built by an explorer for 50 credits

attack/life: 0/7000
manpower: 0 (non player building)

researchtime: 0
buildingtime: 0

I think that you should be able to lock it to an alliance with a code or maybe just that alliances attack code. to unlock you have to send another explorer cv to enable it, for everyone or for just your alliance

You should be able to discide weather you want to be active for your alliance or for everyone.

But this is a very cool idea I like it!

And there should be a section in your coms list so you know which planets have them or not!

It is TransWarpNetwork.

The abbrevation is TWN. Not TNG

There is only a ''G'' in MTWG. The Mobile TransWarp Gate.

it is not locked to any alliance.

everyone can use the gates, but you can position them at taktical positions for your alliance.

the gates are all set to defense, but with the 7000 LP not much happens, if you fight against it by accident. (although they could be destroyed with the right fleet)

you can only see the gates when you fly at the planet with a fleet.

but the archeology expedition will show the gates in the future (in about 2 months)
(for the beginning the gates will be secret knowledge)

Admin, because they are non-player buildings, they dont require manpower. But if you detory them , do you get points or not?

Im not sure I understand this part.

If you built a gate, I assume you can choose which gate to warp to. Therefore, it stands to reason that if you ride a gate, you will have a compete list of gates. Those lists woult be passed around like cigars. I would like it if it were a bit harder to locate other gates, if that is the case.

Is the archeology expedition for players who have not built, or ridden the wormholes, and have nobody to give them the list?

I really like the idea, and I think it will add a new dimension to the game. (as opposed to huntscore and flags, which I do not care for at all.)

Can you step out of the wormhole just like you can in TWG so you only travel for example 1/3 of the distance ? ?

How long will the wormhole portal last ?

I mapped out a very nice run set up by Renee & Dave but it disappeared just after I used it a couple times.

Also, someone destroyed a couple of them for some strange reason.
This would really make me sad because I have trouble making 1 credit extra due to not knowing too much about adding planets to my com list etc.

I don't like to depend on other alliances or players but from what I understand, it took the builders a long time to develop thier network and they didn't get a chance to use it before it disappeared. This made them unhappy I think.

Yep...I'm whinning and complaining. All I really want to know is answer to first question.
I think a coffee mug or something would be cool as well.

not all of them, only the big wormhole going from Keverland to Nano Pyrus (near the Black hole) here:

should be impossible to destroy.

the others that are opened by players last forever unless they are destroyed cause they are vulnerable against some fleet constellations.
sometimes even the creators themselve destroy them again, cause they don`t want to pop up enemies so near their planets

Well T2 already said "without destroying it "...For ever...

As i know you were active i waited your answer now i put the problem.

In a year or maybe less...the universe would be full of WH becaus enobody destroy them. So it would be really easy travel around the universe. So as it affects the flight time it reduces the total time which means its a new Spacetrace the one we are playing but the points can still be compared with the round's one, in a hard way, but they can.
The problems is that if the ppl keep making WH the prewarp planets would stop existing and the pionner ship would become useless and other things too. Is there a solution for this? Or you think this would never happen?

as it seems, the WHs are destroyed every now and then, cause somone doesent like it to be near his planet.

and also it is not so easy to get to a special place by using them, cause the WHs can be very crowded.

if it should happen, there is a solution. for example the dominion of the keeeper of the wormhole could destroy old ones... but until then, there is no problem.
