@Blaze admin have asked us to invent more ships, so just invent one that does a job similar to what you want for your race of choice. I keep changing my mind about which race I want to be my favorite ships are well and truly split, and there seems no way I can get them all. And some of the new ships seem really cool, but you need to try em out. Thats why, I thought some newer players could make an error choosing a race. I think if you stick to your race of last round you will do ok, and be able to get all the ships you like, admittedly rather slowly.

@Peace, the withdrawal method has not been condidered a good method since the 60's lol
@admin, Do you want us to write more descriptions of the races, or something else, I am not sure what you mean.For instance, Do Kazuula have a sense of humour? sort of thing??

i am just trying to make some kind of brainstorming. i just wanna make the manual more 'readable' so i try to add some flair or something.
it's really helpfull to have an idea and imagionation of those things when inventing ships, writing descriptions and choosing pictures.

How about making a research function on abandoned planets (maybe when they are abandoned for a month or so) with wich you can research all ships the player had except for the really race-specific ones?

But I'd like it because you need some luck to be able to research other (new) ships. :cool:

witch can be good are bad i know i had a good ship setup before but now its all going to haver to be alot differen....... but when is the next round going to begin i cant build any fleets and i have none so whats the point of signing in lol

Let me tell:

in the first round of spacetrace all invetions researched were free to share (after someone researched them, he could give them to his friends)
that way researching was very boring (too fast).

it's simple... limited resources lead to creativity; so if you can't research all, it will be more thrilling.

i think this is quite balances, you can research 60% (more! ,because the stuff all can research, fighter, probes, pioneer-ship etc) of all ships and stuff.
this seems sensible to me.

in the end all players have the same chances.

It's not good in my opinion that other races can research such powerfull ships like the minor reconstructor.

Well, as far as I remember kazuuula and mycelloid do not really get along.
The kazuuula are known for farming mushrooms (in order to eat them and to use them in some bizar sports).
On the other hand rumours go that mycelloids have been trying to breed kazuuula, but each such breeding project they started so far has ended by massacring the kazuuula.

@g_d:lol, yes i heard of these stories too .

@untouchable: as i told before i dont think too much of the minor reconstructor. i was a myci this round and after a few weeks i stopped using it. in the first round there was an ugly combination with the major reconstructor which was sometimes hard to crack.
BUT: you are free to choose a race that has the reconstructor

@ all: i like most of the new ship which come in the next round and i am looking forward to test them

nono that story with the kazuuula and the myc was another; those filthy ones were atracted by a fungus-lure and after an intensive lobotomy they were assimilated , weren't they?

maybe the admins can build a pirateship that REALLY steals enemy ships (of course not more then original mp of the pirating player)..
then you can get "forbidden" ship as a prise.


@revenge: actually we fungi tried to adopt the well liked kazuula tennis but with kazuula instead of fungu. but the trials lead into disaster as the kazuula used their ability to fly and didnt want to behave like a good ball would have done. after ripping of their wings the game worked much better but never really found the interest of the masses. they loved another game played with kazuula but it would lead to diplomatic problems if the rules were discussed here as it is known that this game was played with members of other races too. in diplomatic mycilloid circles those games are known as the "dark chapter" - not to be talked about witzh other races. in the normal mycilloid circles those games are justr known as "wow, coool" :grin:

Maybe they should bring back the Artifact Carrier.

Couple of thoughts.
1-: Humans are the only race without their own field of study. Maybe they should have one, or it should be fanatic warfare.

2-: I think every field of study should yield at least one 'own' ship to a race, as it stands for some races advanced tactics for example only leads to 'foreign' ships or further study.

@ Dougster maybe they will have more tech planets this next round just to make it more exciteing to find new ships toget to use.
