How do you combine fleets in the same sector, if even can, can someone help me out because I only seem to be able to do it at my base, how can you do it away from home?

You can move ships between fleets if they are at the same coordinates. Look at the fleet coords, BUT if the fleet is empty it mean it is at base . Thats probably your problem.

So use 1 mothership in fleet 1 and another one in fleet 2, send both fleets away to the same coordinates in the same time, and you can exchange any ships as you like between these two fleets (except motherships). Either when the fleets travelling or stationary at the arrival coords.

regards

that's not quite correct you can switch motherships first you have to swich all the ships from for exemple fleet 2 to fleet 1 and then you can switch your motership

i worked for me

well, I meant you cant move mothership from one fleet to another (in the example above) when these fleets are in transit (expecting he still need two fleets), while other ships you can... but i wrote it badly... my fault, sorry
