Make good combos for crushing the fleet if you know it. And the rate of succes is unpredictable.

You have to learn to predict what your opponent has and build a fleet to counter it. Fopr example, if you see a fleet with 7 c3 and 2 or more c2, it's probably dreadnoughts and a major reconstructor.

In that case the only way to effectively score is by making sure the dreads end up with -1 or less hitpoints, for example by adding a hammer to your fleet.

Another way is by sending a scout fleet (flying saucers, scouts, somehting similar) to get a BR so you can see what he has.
