|
|
since most translators that were registered have new usernames, we need a new translator that is responsible for a language each.
if you put your language in your Preferences (link in HQ), then spacetrace appears in your language.
the translation engine works like this:
there is a small "T" behind each sentence and everybody can translate it to her/his language or change the translation if you think it is not correct.
everybody can do that.
the registered translators can doublecheck the translations and if they think, they are correct, they can lock the part, so noone can mess around with it anymore.
from then on, the small "T" disapears to normal users and for the registered translators there is a small "L" now, so they can still change it if they wish.
the former translation topic with a lot of discussions was here:

only native speakers should be registered translators to do the end-check, cause only they can know if a saying is correct, i think.
@Wallace: your spanish translations are very helpful though, cause the future end-checker only has to soee if it is all ok.
thx a lot. i saw, you translated a lot of the manual entries - very good |

this topic is always actual.
if you like to help (and get rid of the small "T"s behind not-locked translations in your language) it would be great if some more players volunteer as translator admins
we have none in french, polish, and some more languages are started but not completed, like
chinese
croatian
italian
czech
estonian
russian
portuguese
norwegian
...
so if you speak a language that is not administered, please PM me |

is your friend swedish?
cause i think translations should be made only by players, that speak perfect the language
(this counts for all languages) |

nice, a macedonian translation seems to be finished
can you also translate the main page?
in many languages the main page is not translated, it would be fine, if you all do so, cause this would bring some new players to ST from these other languages |
