Well, my old friend Duke gave me the information on a very good fleet last round and he rocked with it! He took on 2 LARGE fleets @ the bk hole and still had many ships, it took a doomstar to kill him,I tryed it out and I killed a fleet completly with out losing a single ships and got about 500-600 point, i LOVED that fleet , but i cant remember it this round !!

I have read these posts and agree there is no perfice fleet becuse every fleet has a weekness. I have figured out a way to help counteract that to an exstent.
keep 2/3 your points unused, then send out a few ships to scout. A dozen scouts a mother ship and 1 lvl 3 or lvl4 ship, a ship with massive lvl1 damege potental like does 1 point of dmege to 100 lvl 1 ships.
scout the tatget with that if it does no big and you take out some fights too.
Then construct the rest of your fleet around what your battle reports said and you could end up with a lot of good victory points in the end.

A good set up generally is about 900 eagles 6 cruisers 1 mothership.works good on large class 1 fleets and you dont usually lose the mothership.

All this talk about good fleet set ups can anyone think of some not so good fleet set ups? That might help some of us newer players. This is my 3rd round so I`m getting better at this but any input would help.

at the time:

1 fighter
1 destroyer
17 cyclops

(only effective against large fighter fleets with less cruisers)

i thougt about a fleet like this:

100 interceptors (100mp)

50 combat reconstructors (mp 300)
210 multi emps (mp 2800)
100 frigates (mp 1200)

1 cruiser (mp 60)

1 mothership (mp 320)

this fleet could make some points (maybe about 1000 some time) but will deal with a lot of fleets , esp. in class 1,2

it will loose against a strong class 2 (lots of destroyers) and the standart apollo, cyclops, reconstructor fleet

(a rare but dangerous opponent would be a retraitor fleet)

1 destoyer
1 cruiser

eagle squad as designed by Peace of Love

0-1000-1-1

There are many variations, but that is the basic design.

Not so good against 2 fleets with more than 10 cruisers each. Great against almost all other fleets.
