I think peace is right:
One kamikaze will destroy one eagle and 3 own ships -> 1 point per destroyed eagle
+ 1 eagle will destroy one kamikaze -> 0 points

Not eagles, but I think kamis actually destroy 2 own ships, including themselves not additional too.
Part of a br.
your class 1 vs enemy class 4:

210 kamikaze destroy 210 ships
99 kamikaze vs 1 research center
99 kamikaze vs 1 shipyard
58 fighters vs 1 shipyard
50 fighters vs 1 research center
15 fighters vs 1 mothership
12 kamikaze vs 1 mothership
1 bounty hunter blasts 1 ship

i thought the kamikazis destroyed themselves and two additional ships (=3ships)

but in your br it seems to be as you said that only one additional ship is destroyed.

if it is so, then it seems to be a bug in the battleengine. the manual sais:

" kamikaze (35/1) 1 fanatic warfare

under self destruction it deals 35 damage to one enemy ship, but also destroys two more ships of your own fleet. (caution! self destruction!)"

maybe admin can state how the kamikazi actually works ... ???

I had another look peace and you are right it does have the word 'more' there, I coulda sworn it wasnt there earlier this round. As I said before I thought it had been changed I think I said downgraded, but maybe that is an upgrade. Maybe the manual should say it destroys two ships of your own fleet.
But I like it the way it is.

Found this in the rebalancing section

looks like it was never changed, thank goodness.

we discussed the balance of the ships!

( we are learned a lot due this round )

the prefered tactics is mostly based on class 1 ships. We wanna balance it. here are our suggestions, pls post your opinion ( as it is very valuable )

class 1:

strike fighter - mp=4 or mp=3
holo carrier - mp=550 (or it deployes the holo ships above itself (order of battle) )
kamikaze - destroys 3 own ships (right now it destroyes 2 own ships)

new:
penguin - mp=1 ; 2/1 ; is destroyed after combat in any case

Quote:
penguin (2/1) a stronger fighter, that is destroys itself at the end of any fleet confrontations (caution! self destruction!)

I always thought it did destroy itself

at the end of any fleet confrontations

Still, the manual sould give more detail to the ships and buildings.

@Peace Of Love
I think the kami deals 35 damage to a random ship (or maybe its a class fighter)and destroys 2 of your ships at random..At Least Thats what i thought, never used them befor..

you can imagine the kamikazi working exactly like a fighter ... but a little bit different

like a fighter it is a class1 ship which has a target (the front ship of the enemy fleet)

the difference is that
a) it deals 35 pts of damage instead of 1 point
(but like the fighter only onto the front enemy ship - so fighting enemy class1 leads just to some kind of overkill - except for mycilloid reconstructors there is no difference whether a ship has 0 lifepoints or has less its just shot )
b) as a backdraw for a) it destroys itself and the FOLLOWING (not random) two ship in your fleet.
(as the kamikazi is loaded totally with explosive to do so much damage it hurts the enemy and destroyes itself and its mates...)
(but the clas2-clas4 of your fleet are luckily too far away from that location... so you cant under no circumstances destroy a class2-class4 ship of your own fleet by this effect..)

It is also very vulnerable to interceptors/carriers which is why I think it should stay at two ships destroyed.
Interceptors make a horrible mess with kamis I know.

Concerning the eagle fleet: I just saw peace's destroyer + shield generator tactic would lead to a draw aswell because one shield generator costs 4 mp (like the eagle) and its lifepoints are 2 (same as attack points of eagle). That means half of the shooting eagles will destroy your sg - noone has enough manpower to destroy a large eaglefleet with destroyers so the eagles will destroy all sg's...

ya, and i know the weekness so if anyone wants to attack blaze just tell me and i can tell his weakness for a cheap price (he really has a good fleet so u'll need my help)

And also i am trying out some new ships and i have figurd out some new cool tactics (inculuding blazes fleet without that weakness) so if you want a good tactic just ask for , i am sure we can think of some good exchange
