The Five Major Races of Spacetrace.

It has been thousands of Years since the 5 great races came into being. It is 600 hundred years after the Total Ownage Dynasty became Dormant.
Rebel Factionds from the group battle each other and the galaxy is in chaos.
The Dominion Of h travellers hold a great meeting and decide that it is time to annihilate the five great races planet-by-planet.
Slowly, each race begins to falter and only 57 years later eac great race has only a ferw planets in control.
Suddenly the massacres stop. The Dominion retreat to their own area of Sapce for now.
Chaos beins to spread in the galaxy again, but the 5 races have been weakened and cannotattack themselves. They decide to start teaching the hundreds of minor races in the galaxy how to build warp drives, shields and weapons.
The 5 great races join togethor, and most of them move to the far edge of space to begin a war upon the Dominion Homeworld. Only a few of their species remain.........

The lower races begin to emerge, and are growing more powerful.
Their time has come to conquer the galaxy.


And thus it is that i start what my idea is about. As we all know, when we start Spacetrace, we have to decide which f the five races we should choose. Well as you can see from my story, the 5 races have give warp-drive to others. So this is my plan, How about, instead of Choosing a race, you choose a technology. BUT! You can name your own race (or else become one of the last of the 5 races)
So for example, lets say i choose to make a new race. "Borg" for example. I will now choose nanite as my technology. And when someone looks at my player screen they will see race: Borg Technology: Ancient Nanite
Also, by clicking on the race, you may add a profile, and it will forever say who the first of this race was. From then on, people when respawning may choose any race previously created, or eslse make a new one.
Finally,each race should be allowed have a special ship, or special ability, which must be dbated on the forum and then chosen to be accepted or not.
So for example, as a "borg" my ability will be a "Nano Virus Ship" Which will , if acivated make my enemy also borg (Because they are assimilated).
Finally, if you want you can add on your profile the Ancient enemy of your race and then beside it it should say the actual enemy (the race your race have fought against the most).

This is only an example, so for example if my race was Nazgul i might have a special ability hat makes the enemy fleet afraid, which might alwas give you the first shot in class2 or something.
To be honset, i am not really sure if the special ability thing should be added, but i think that making yur own race would be cool, and then just havein the TECHNOLOGY from the five races. (You may also choose to be one of the five races, or any race which has been previously made)

I like the idea of creating you're own race en choosing one of 5 technologies... but the rest...

I just want to add something. If you are the only of your race, and then you respawn, and you choose to become another race. Your race will become extinct a month later. And when looked up it will say extinct.
So for example.

Player: Methi of Methi
Race: Borg
Technology:Ancient Nanite
Base: 999/999/99
Details: Race Extinct- Destroyed by the Dominion of the travellers on 12/12/2012

Ancient Enemy: Kazuula- because of the emp guns
Actaul enemy: Supersoldier (Borg-Players have fought Supersoldiers 124 times since their creation)

Extinct: 3 planets remain borg/ Destroyed 12/12/2012 by travellers
Special Ability/Technology: Can assimialte other races using a nano virus ship.

i think mabey the top 10 players get to decide on a new race...
otherwise it would just get dumb, everyone would want their own race...
so i like your idea of more races, but not that everyone can choose, or make thier own one...

Perhaps a limit on the amount of races?
But to be honest.
I doubt that every alen in this galaxy are going to be human for examle.
Surely every planet has its own race? It would be more realistic.

it's not bad idea, doable? i dunno, it seems a little improbable. first of all if you invent your own technologies. what do they do, what do they make? are there resonable techs? who is going to check to see if there resonable for somany players that want to make there own race? if there resonable than why shouldn't all other players enjoy them too...

and as for making a race for eachplayer.. a tactical player will no longer be able to try to read enemies fleet by looking at his race and knowing what kinds of ships they would most probebly have..

it is very hard to make many diffrent race (look at all the other games)

BTW: if you really want to be a borg... just make an alliance called borg.

PS: i like the idea of very Top player being able to make his own race.. or perhaps change a races name to his satisfaction (or even have his own race called the champion race or something), that way the top player at anytime would be able to have something to show his accomplishment

how about if you can only create your own race on your 2nd round, or a key is given to you at 100% evo that allows you to register a new account with the race ability

i like the making your own race idea.
i was thinking, when you make your account you can either chose one of the 5 races (mostly for newbs to get a feel of the game) or you can customize you own race. but admin would have to creat some type oftemplet for players to follow so a super powerfull unbeatable race will not emerge.
for example you choose your race name
uour race type= cyborg, humaniod, bug (insect), energy beam (like the r-ray), organic (similiar to the mycilloids) and maybe some other types.
this will help determine type of tech to resarch
for example cyborg could get nanite and human tech
i have not tought this thing very throughly, just a start
