Concour, i have just looked at the alliance incomings.
It appears that the second person you refer to is Raynor.
After yesterdays events it is more possible that he is backstabbing you than a bug
Perhaps you should ask him to see if this is a bug or revenge?
Especially after yesterdays events........

no he wasn't BSing me. i even put some ships into my fleet one to check if he had the correct attack code. so their is a bug, and fleets attack other peoples base fleet, but will no attack other fleets (fleet 1 ,2 and 3) with the same attack code

Anyone stop to think that maybe the fleets that had an attack code attacked the base fleet because the attacking fleet was not on defense? If it is on attack, it will attack any base but its own...base fleets cannot have attack codes by the way. When a fleet has an attack code operating, it cannot be placed on defense. Attack codes function as a counter against attacking other fleets with the same attack code only. If a fleet with an attack code goes to a base, the attack code has no effect. The fleet will act as if it is on attack (the red target riticule) and thus attack the base. Seriously (and I say this with the utmost respect) use your brains!

OK...before you assume a backstabbing. I have had bad experience with this myself. You must go into defensive mode when defending another players base. Only use common attack codes while cooperating in deep space away from ally planets.
Click the blue defense icon and leave the input box empty. A base fleet is always in this mode and any other fleets present whether ally or not w/ an attack code entered will attack the base fleet...this does not apply to your own fleets and base though.

Sorry, I'm prone to hot headedness. I apologize, but in the future, to prevent such outbursts, note that you are backing some one up, merely say I agree, and then go into whatever you wished to say. This is just to keep people (i.e. me) from biting heads off whenever someone gives us the slightest reason (however unintended it was). I apologize again, but keep in mind what I have said.

Wtf?...
What's all this about going to Defence mode at alliance mates bases??
that's crazy..

Aslong as you all have the Same attack code there is no problem.
we have never had such an occurence in our alliance, and we spend a whole lot of time defending.

you guys are quite simply doing something wrong. there is no bug.

I had the same thing as maverik, that fleets attack bases if they have an attack code set.

I understood, this was how it was supposed to be, but maybe it would be a good idea to give bases attack codes as well, so I can send a fleet to an alliance member without obliterating her base ~blush~ as happened almost to Aphrael.

this is already possible with the alliance attack-code, the leader can set.
a fleet with the alliance accack-code doesent attack bases of ally members (like already explained in the manual and a lot of times here in the forum )

dear ZZZ it is allready implemented, as soon as the leader of the alliance sets an attack code in his box, all bases in the alliance will not fight any fleets with the same attack code, but their standard attitude will remain defensive though.

So in short, when a attack code is set for an alliance, the bases in an alliance won't attack fleets in defense AND fleets with the alliance attack code.

and as admin said, the attack code is case sensitive, so be carefull with it.

AND for the point of giving a base fleet the option to change attitude, this is wrong. it is a base and cannot fly around. so it's purpose would be to defend at any fight it is in...
