I don't see the problem. The missles wouldn't have done anything anyways. There wasn't enough of them. You need about 14 i think. Also, in the class 2, 4 missles weren't launched because the destroyer killed one of it before it shot.

Negative.

It only takes 6 missiles to destroy a cruiser, putting out 102 attack points.

Since the cruiser had the initiative, he went first making one missile useless. One more missile would have destroyed the cruiser.

It appears that this fleet was designed to just take out that one cruiser, and a second fleet was standing by.

The entire attack was ruined because of the mysterious missing missile.

May I add that hivemind set up this attack perfectly? There is no way he should have lost.

He did not calculate all probabilities. The illustration showed the probability that he could have lost. He is over confident. Should have sent 5 missile-launchers - just in case.

4 Missile Launchers verses one Penguin: Guaranteed all four missles launch, no losses.

4 Missile Launchers verses one destroyer: No matter what, at least three Missile Launchers will fire. If you have the initiative, all four will fire.

This means, unconditionally, no matter what, absolutely, I promise you, SEVEN missiles would be fired.

Seven missiles beat one cruiser, whether the cruiser has the initiative or not. There is no flaw in this setup whatsoever.

Maybe the missile was destroyed together with the missile-launcher that launched it?

I agree with Hivemind. The missile-launcher was destroyed before its missile was launched.
The details showed the result but not the sequence.

The testserver could not test all possibilities because it is random. You need to similate with control sequence. Or try on your testserver 1000 times.

That´s right. I wanted to say, that the already launched missile was destroyed together with the missile-launcher. I don´t know how the battlesystem is programmed, but i thought that the missing missile is somehow connected to the destroyed missile-launcher.

i think this cannot be. the battleengine will put the missile directly in class 3

we found the bug, it is fixed.
the same bug caused this strange words in the battlereport:

the bug always occurred when a ship was created into an empty class (in this case there was nothing in his class 3 before and then there were created the missiles)
