Ok...I think I have figured out this game but I still have a few unanswered questions.

1) My probes have found planets that have not been discovered by anyone else. Is there any sense in sending my ships to that planet? (yes, I know that this game is not about expansion)

2) On the Fleet Screen, when it says incomming at the bottom, does that mean that fleet is comming after my base?

3) Also at the bottom of the FLEET SCREEN it says confrontations. What does this mean. Is it an upcommming confrontation or an old one?

4) Do I need specific ships to attack a planets buildings? If so what are they? If not, why are my ships not destroying buildings even though all of the ships have been killed?

Thanks!~

1: Not really, unless your sensors detect another fleet there.
2: it usually says base is attacked, fleet 1 has incomings, so, if yu see em they are coming.
3:After a battle, the fleets that remain, are confronting each other. There will be another battle after 24 hours if they do not move.
4. There is no specific ship for attacking bases, however they have to be able to fight the base directly. That means only those ships whose class has been cleared from the base can fire at the base

For example

Target base 1 1 1 4

your fleet 1000 200 20 1

YOur fleet would remove all the single ships, but the base would remain untouched.
However if you attacked with 2 fleets

Fleet one 2 2 2 1
and fleet 2 just afterwards, say a couple of minutes 998 198 18 1

You would then get a building or two. A major building must be hit by 3500 attack points worth of ships. quite a lot. There is too many variations for me to say which is best, the above example should work in most circumstances, (not all though)

If you are the first one at the planet with your fleets you can rename the planet

I got my fleet done, traveled it to a pre-warp world.

What now? Can I claim it? Build on it?

You can't claim the planet. But if you are the first to visit that planet you can rename it.

If someone has been there bfore you the only thing you can do is leave a message

You can build on a prewarp planet but first you need to build a pioneer ship.
