mine field (class 4 ship)

this cloaked mine field can travel on its own so u can put it on any coords and when a fleet passes it it will lose some ships! bad thing if your fleet passes it same will happen

I think it is a very good idea, never mind the ap lp mp right ,ow, but to have a mine is the idea, perhaps somone can work it out a bit further?

The problem is space is vast. Your minefield will have to be quite lucky to hit somebody.

My suggestion might be to increase from 1 sector to 27 sector (a cube with side of 3 sector).

why dont we make it like an admin thing. Like an ancient civilization has left cloaked minefields floating in space. Then it could just be like a random factor and could save your butt if an attacker happened to go through it. Of course if it hit your base you could be in trouble.

I like the idea, but the battle syntax is not correct.

It says it destroys 100 ships in the smae class. It is a class 4 ship, so that means it will destroy 100 class 4 ships. Mabey you can better change it that it will destroy some ships in class 1, some in class 2 and some in class 3. Mabey the same power as the DA.

Because a da destroys 200 class 1, 40 class 2 and 4 class 3.

If it attacks a normal fleet than you have a score of 200 + 320 + 240 = 760 - the 500 of the mine field, than you score 260 points. Is not to much for 500 mp.

ur right dutchbatter, it isnt worth it. i also dont like the idea of the admin controlling it, it cud b really annoying to suddenly find ur base has been hit by a minefield. randomness makes it too unfair. similarly, if u give players control, well c minefields all around ppls planets, so they cant move. it doesnt take much skill to use in this way, so i dont think its a fair addition to the game. nice idea tho.

Minefield is an excellent defense, but that will cause the game to be static, meaning no body will attack anybody since the minefield will destroy a lot of your fleet. Imagine a minefield with defense array, that is quite a deathly defense.

If minefield is created, what about creating another ship to counterattack the affect, like Minefield Destroyer.

Another comment. I think minefield should design in a way that they only work in empty space coordinate instead of planet coordinate. Imagine an alliance sending minefield after minefield to blackhole, pulsar, or nebula, which will render that location impossible to control.

I think the minefield must not be a class 4 ship, but a class 1, 2 or 3 ship. Than someone can normal destroy it, because it has 1 life point. Thna we not need a special counter ship/fleet.

I think Minefield is a great idea, as long as Admin/Inventor modify to include "minefield must be a class 1, 2 or 3 ship" (Dutchbatter) and "minefield only work in empty space" (Doomstar).

I won´t like people to send 10 minefields to my planet!
And if you can not send more than one per planet, try sending 10 to different planets and wait for the points to come.

That is why I ask the Admin/Inventor to limit the Minefield to only empty space coordinate instead of planet coordinate.

Also, with Dutchbatter idea of limit the Minefield to class 1, 2, or 3, you might able to kill the stupid ship immediately. Of course that also depend on luck.
