Is a trigger-effect@ executed before the effect, that triggered it?

Example:
A ship with ,self,1,this,itself,*,0,2 and 10 hp is attacked by a normal destroyer.
What will happen?
1. The ship looses 10hp, then multiplies its own hp by 2, so that it has 0hp after this.
2. The ship doubles its hp to 20 and then looses 10hp, so that it has 10hp after this.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but:
trigger will activate at the moment ship get it's turn...

but some triggers like jam:
if u have 20 jammers, first jammer will activate all jammers, so all 20 jammers will jam enemy ships (or your if it is such)

That only works if you get back initiative though. If it jams and you dont get back initiative then the enemy gets their turn.

@Lou:
You are muddling the jammer and the emp-technology. The jammer doesn´t have the jamming command, it only fakes a class 3 signature. If an emp-fighter gets its turn, then he will jam the enemy ship and you get back the initiative. So if you only have jammers, its like all jammers get activated (but only in this case).
Example:
You: 1 emp-fighter, 1 fighter, 1 emp-fighter (fighting in this order)
Enemy: 3 penguins
You fire first:
1. you: emp1 jams penguin1
2. you: fighter1 kills penguin1
3. enemy: penguin2 kills emp1
4. you: emp2 jams penguin2
5. you: nothing
6. enemy penguin3 kills fighter1
score: -1
(according to the manual it should work like this, but i´m not sure about this)

@noah:
You always get the initiative back, after jamming (see manual).

@Tofu Corrcte me) I think you are confue.
If the destroyer attacks first that mean he gets the first turn, so it will destroy you, then your ship get his turn, why? because he is not dead, so then it triger the attack and your lp come back again. Like your example 2.
Maybe my words are confuse too so it is just like your example 2, because the attack of the destroyer never afected the lp of your ship.
But if you shoot first you only fight and anything else.
I think so..

BTW it is LP and i think your example is good but it is not always like that, becaiuse the order of your ships could be 2 emp 1 fighter(score 0) or 1 fighter 2 emps(score 0)
Of course only if you get the turn first

No you not always get the initaitive back. If the ship you jam have the trigger_-_jam modifier
Quote:
trigger_-_jam: if the ship is jammed, the initiative will not go back to the enemy

And I think personal that the trigger modifier is executed after the modifier that triggered, just because of the name 'trigger'

The ship doesn´t get its turn, it just reacts on being hit. That´s what trigger_hit means.

I thought i´m the biggest smart ass here?!?

I guess that´s right, but i´m not sure.
