record probe

as this probe is on its way to its destination it records all the planets in its scan radius that it passes bye and stores the data in its hard drive. once this probe reaches its destination it reverses course and goes back to you planet where the data is extracted from it. but due to its large amount of space for memory it sacrifices some of its speed

scanradius: 10

speed: warp 3

researchtime: 1 d 12 h

needed research:
improved computer technology

battle details:
battle engine syntax:

i like it.
it would be only for pre-warp planets. and it has only enough fuel to fly as far as 50 lightyears

I like the idea, but it should not just be pre-warp planets, it takes AGES to get back you know.

I do think that it should move like a fleet, allowing other player to intercept it. You get like 100 points if you destroy it. If you can't intercept it, it's too powerful, just imagine the wealth of data you get if you fly this to a point 500 ly away and get ALL the data.

If it takes ages to use this thing, why you say it is powerful.
Fleets you can't intercept either. You can only wait them up.
And this probe isn't more powerful than the wide range probe.

Make it slower and can store the coords of all planets. But only can go... 1000 LY?

*Make it warp 1
