What purpose are the Travellers to serve here?

As Far as I can tell the Travellers serve only to LEVEL the playing field. Are they intended to destroy ALL the planets (players)?

Are they being targeted at those who use brutal tactics? Are they intended to cull out the weak?

In short what purpose do they serve?

as far i can tell they destroy you when you reach 100% in state of evo.
kind of respawn stuff..

i think the way they close the round for the ones that are at 100% is so funny compared to other online games where u have to wait a while. I recycled my ships but they still got my buildings, and that admin, payback 0

I think it would be ok if we could crush The MTF.
If u can reach him of course. And on 100% of evolution ur AP is modified to 0, and all ships lose special abilities. Becouse u evoluted to peaceful nation, that see no point in destruction nor killing. Then Dominion gets them.
But if u know where to find him, HUNT HIM!!!!!
