habitat (class 5 ship)

for those players who are under constant attack, this ship, at a great cost of mp allows you to take your entire construction/research population off planet. based on tech stolen from the traveller.


attack/life: 0/500
manpower: 2000


speed: warp 1
researchtime: 2 d
buildingtime: 2 d

With warp 1 you can't move far away.
But where to move to? Prewarp planets? (BlackHole )

Uh I confess this is mine, the idea is that you can still build and research from the ship.

The mp cost is debatable of course, The idea was for players who are stuck in a really bad spot so they could continue playing and researching but at a much reduced mp level.

It is not meant as a planet mover, it is meant as a movable planet!!! Battlestar galactica.

But, you cannot build a very large fleet, hence it is not for everyone just for emergencies.

When u move your shipyard to a pre warp planet, you can still build a full fleet, you just lose a fleet spot. With this ship you lose a fleetspot and about half your mp.

it needs more life, also it needs an atack power to defend its self

i recomend ap: 500-1000 LP:3000

research time of 3 days

avalable for all races but acording to how there race would afect the ship would afect research time and build time

unike/new features

can be distroyed by an atacking fleat wile building. to make it a little harder or evan it out

with a problem of fleates not being able to be il the exzact place only the bace fleate can have anny thing in them at all.

only one probe alowed at any time wile ship is moving

the ship is a Colonisation ship which meens it uses 3/4 of all manpower and it also means you can only build ships when the object has stoped moving.

This should be interesting. If used properly this ship would enable you to steal some points, run, and be gone before the enemy can react. The loss of MP would make it balanced because you can only build 3/5 fleet.

I like the idea.

I think it could be very interesting, especially for those who have entire alliances "sitting" on their planet, by doing this they can move to other coords, and continue playing the game while still having fun.

why not just change the pioner ship, the pioner ship become on a class 5 and can move your shipyard too...

is a nice idea and can be very usefull

yes... i want have a battle vs a pioner but i can't found a player that use one of these, but if you can move shipyard and reserch center, and the pioner ship change hes name to habitad, can be very usefull to hit and run or colonice a few prewarp planets to organice an aliance, move all the players near, or otherwise spread players...

Sure is a good idea, so pliskin, ransack and I can move into planets next to each other and rule such a big part of the universe!
