It means someone has a trace probe in the area and they will see all fleets coming and going and also the cords you are going too.So If someone dont have your cords to your homeworld now they do.It`s very usefull also to see who is going to the black hole or if you are going to attack a enemy you can see if he has any incommings.

No it isn't a new feature.
And no you can't destroy probes. (but you can scamble dsp probe data)

no, this will be visible in the battle report
"you have been spied" is only sent when a trace probe spyes at your fleet |

It also appears when you are spied on with a dsp, or am I wrong? |

No a dsp reading you will not send this message. Only a trace probe within range of the start or of the destination (beginning or end of standard warp or hyperwarp "tunnel") will give you this reading when as it log's your ETA and destination coordinates.
You can leave a "false" destination by setting to some other destination until you leave the trace probe's range.
A good reason never to head straight "home" after doing a base hit
BTW-I used to irritate the hell out of the trace probe owner by changing destination coordinates about 50+ times or more This would "flood" his pm box with trace probe "updates" but, I understand admin has grouped the msg's involving a fleets course changes over a few hours time into one msg recently to stop this "flooding". |
