How does the mobile repair bot work? I have looked in the manual, and have a couple of questions regarding this popular ship.
Lets say I have 3 destroyers and my enemy has one destroyer and 2 mobile repair bots.
If I attack first, I destroy one destroyer. Then, my opponent attacks me and destroys one destroyer. Then his mobile repair bot repairs his destroyer. My second destroyer attacks his new destroyer or would it attack his mobile repair bot? Either way, that ship is then repaired again by the third mobile repair bot. Then my third destroyer attacks his third mobile repair bot or destroyer?
Thus I lose 2 destroyers to his one or worse if he attacks first, I lose 3 to his one?
Or is it that the repair is done after the battle? My destroyer attacks his. My destroyer attacks his mobile repair bot. My destroyer attacks his 2nd mobile repair bot. His destroyer is regenerated, but loses both mobile repair bots.
I am completely confused on how this ship works.

The repair is done in the battle, but when the destroyer has had his turn, it will not attack again, so it will only destroy one of your destroyers. It will be repaired, but after that your destroyers will attack his mobile repair bots and destroy them.
you can see it this way (it could go different, its just an example)
You 3 destroyers, he 1 destroyer, 2 mobile repair bots.
1 destroyer of you attacks his destroyer (his destroyer is destroyed)
1 mobile repair bot repairs his destroyer, your second destroyer destroys a mobile repair bot.
your third destroyer will destroy a mobile repair bot.
His destroyer destroys one of your destroyer.
losses, you 1 destroyers.
he 2 mobile repair bots
but, it all depends on how the turns go, it could go elseway.

The bots are one of the kookiest ships.
you never quite know how a battle will go with them.
There lack of firepower makes them a liability at times, there repair function can be a lifesaver as well. |

can they repair self destructed ships?

| Intruder only modify class 1 ships, but Mobile Repair Bot is a class 2 ship. |

this ship is very useful though since they save some of your ships, which can make the difference between winning and losing a battle sometimes.

I think it don't repair ships with 0 LP
I only find it useful against Eagle, Troika or Graze Reactor

darklim means V.S a fleet with graze reactors bots dont repair ships at 0 lp that means usless vs standard destroyers but bots and destroyers vs eagles=win alot of points

I think this ship can fit with Troika and Hammer, but... I have not tested it yet, so don't insult me if you loss point with this

bots are only good against enemy fleets whos ships ap are less than 10 a destroyer bot fleet is useless against a solid destroyer fleet but a destroyer bot fleet will score more vs eagles fleet than a solid destroyer fleet will.you can use bots with eagles but still only good vs other eagles.Was also thinking a bot destroyers plasma emmiters fleet  or maybe bots destroyers and a sporator.
