I sent my fleet to attack someone and after more than a day at warp 5, it just sits there. If I lost points I would at least know it did something, but it JUST SITS THERE!!! I even changed the attitude and it still did nothing.
And another thing: how do I set up fleet formations.

Did you send a dsp first to make sure the planet was still there. Also what did you send (types of ships).Sometimes if the planet was destroyed before you get there no battle will happen. Also it`s better to use a attack code then the attack attitude. |

Also, once you are face-to-face with a fleet with no combat, you can't fight it for 24 hours still. Even if you adjust the attitude. It's not so much that fleets cant fight for 24 hours, it's that they don't respond to each other for that time.
In other words, you do not need to have battle to have battlepause. At least that's what I've experienced.

well, my fleet finally attacked, but not after my opponent had a chance to build a fleet first (which I think is stupid). I lost my fleet and loads of points because of my fleets hesitation. It'll take a while to try another wave.
Oh, and I sent a dsp that arrived 2 hours before my fleet and I saw he didn't have a fleet, just one of each class, and had a base.

a 1 1 1 fleet is always good enough to hold of one attacking fleet.
There is lots of stuff about this in the forum, read some old posts.
You counter with a 2 2 2 first fleet

Another thing.Try to attack targets closer than 1 day thats way to far to attack a planet unles you can build a cloaking ship so they dont know you are there and dont have time to get help.I mostly hit planets no more than 10 or 12 hrs max unless It`s one of those gotta hit it targets like someone with 4000 class 1.
P.s. If you are in a alliance you can use others transwarp to hit further planets. Then that helps get more targets.
