Using one of these is rather involved and is done as a very organized operation rather than a fast in/out attack:
To use one successfully place one on a cloaked fleet, get a fleet close to it, wait for the owner of that fleet to log-off, set for the fleet and decloak it just before you eta.
Also try setting to a pass-over if you have to approach the fleet while the player is online. And an eye in the sky is useful too (can read the fleet makeup through it's cloak).
BTW-This will not decloak a base cloak, so dont bother trying.
Anti-cloaking strategy is best assigned to a more crafty and active member imho |
