Hey, i have a few questions, i would apreciate if anyone could help me out.
•How long is a round? and when does this one end?
and
• if someone appears in my com-list under "people you know" and i didn't add them.... does this mean they added me to their contact list?

Last round was
from: Friday, 10 January 2003
till: Thursday, 17 April 2003
So I guess a round lasts 3 months.
This round started on: Wedneysday, 28 May 2003
In the end of August or the begin of September it would end
And if people appear in you com-list under "people you know" doesn't mean they added you but that are players who've been in your alliance or saw in a deep scan probe report and you don't have investegated their coords.

Do I have to activate a cloak generator or once it's finished does it go online and begin cloaking?

I am not so sure about that, I would check when it was built if I were you, I seem to recall a check box for the generator, but I cant remember exactly.
