Try topic "Leagues??!?!"
I meant good players against good players, n00bs against n00bs. Like in Football or any other sports...
At the end of the round there could be 10% from the upper in the lower league and 5% from the lower in the upper or things like this, dont know how to say it in english... |

maybe the players could get a veteran *, so the veterans can attack each other if wanted and noobs can avoid confrontation with such guys... |

Maybe the leagues can be splitted in A-, B-, C-League or something like that (10 or 20 Players League A, 50 League B, all the others League C). The best 20 players of the last round start at league A etc etc...
To become a player of the upper leagues you must stay for a week or two at #1 (#2,3) of your league. So maybe up to three players can be traded between the leagues weekly (or monthly).
But that wont solve the multi-problem discussed in the other league topic. Otherwise I think most of the A-League players are well known players (not multiaccounting .... ???). There must be a examination of the ascending players to be sure that multis wont reach the top places like they can do it this round. That means that there could be another instance (whatever it could be) to make it harder to reach top positions. |

one question: Separate spacetrace???.. i mean one ST for each league division?.. or like Jason said "something like an open tag *veteran"??
anyways the admins in "any situation" need to check out ALL the players... thats a hard work and looks like they dont have too much time... also they arent getting money from this...

well i think if leagues are made
either
every player could selfdecide whether he is veteran or newbee
or
the programm decides by score and performance about this matter (should not to hard to be programmed - s.th. like move down the lower 10% and move up the higher 10%)

well i think even though the league mode is in the interest of lots of players atm it seems as if most dont want to split the community...
to those who suggested it there are two possible ways which might follow at least halfly your way:
a) more statistics: especially you can look up the #battles & %performance of your enemy in a list to avoid a battle with that guy.
b) different scores: the worse player(measured in score) gains normal points in a battle. the better player gains normal minus points but if he wins he gains
(his score/enemy score)*battlescore points
(i think there should be a minimum of 10%
so if you want to promote one of this strategy you can start a new thread on this and might refer to this thread |

What about Tournaments???
There can be seperate tournaments during the round where players can fight each other. There could be *Verteran-class tournaments, *"normal-player-class tounaments and *n00b tournaments for instance.
You can participate in a tournament if you've got a score of XXX, must pay a participation fee of XXX and can win XXX points. Those tournaments can be done parallel to the normal game. Maybe the Admins can change your coords for the tournament in a way that every player has XXX LYs to the other participants. So everybody can fight against players ~equal to their skills - for one week (or 3 days..). I think in those tournaments multis wont have any chance.
And the community is not splitted! |

tournaments...
there can be seperate statistics about the tournaments, too.
Or we have a season of short "quicky" tournaments... 1 or two days where you can ascend or descend.
