slipstream (basic research)
slipstream is an advanced tech that allows ship to go at supersonic speed by tearing the treads that hold the universe and flying into it. it is very dangerous because you have to avoid flying into the treads, but when traveling through it, you are in a place where time is nearly still.

Noooooooooooo no more messing with the time-space-continium pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaase
Last round we had enough *time-space-deformations* which not only made time slow down or go faster, but also created "time-loops" which led to several repeated battles... And to think that if THAT battle hadn't repeated itself, I'd be in 4th place
Looooooooool
However, the idea of the slipstream mothership is quite nice... But blocking 1500 MP...
P.S. Supersonic speed is pretty slow, I mean, that's today's technology - many jet-planes and almost all military planes are capable of supersonic speed

Well... I can't say I like it much for some reasons...
Now, Humans again are to benefit from it the most - able to choose between TimeSlipper and Slipstream according to what the need is - more free MP or bigger speed...
Also, almost a clone of the Timeslipper itself - increased MP and speed...
On the other hand, if more players will be in-game, the Universe will get bigger and the demand for such fast ships will rise...
So... I think time will show
Quote: | A ship will be created as soon as there is a demand for it, and the bigger the demand - the faster it will be implemented |

Ok i say that you don't let the humans have this tech. And this is much different from the timeslipper in that this ships purpose is differnt. Because of its high mp it allows a smaller fleet, but this is a excellent way to get to people who are currently weak and far away so that you can get to them before they build up again or something. EX:You have a slipstream mothership and a doomstar. You see a good target but its too far for a mothership to go in one day. Then you send the slipstream mothership.
*******Think of it this way. This will encourage more intergalatic battles =) People can attack other people farther away |
