Well, since aluminum is such a cheap metal, my scientists, have not had the chance of testing it with really pure metals found around my planet. The following metals are commonly found from 200 light years, to 2000 light years away from a phenomenon ussually refered to as the Black Hole.
---Baelirioum
---Adamantium
---Trintium
---Uraniuminum
---Baelicium
And as we are currently still testing the Baelirioum material that will be implememnted with the construction of the Baelirioum Corvette, we haven't had a chance as of yet

From the desk of Senior Scientist Baelam Congarg
With all due respect, honorable and gracious leader, we assume that with the introduction of aluminum to the core of a class four size ship, such as the mothership, it would result with the deterioration of the adamantioum shell of the ship, thus desintigrating the outer core. However, with the introduction of aluminum, greater energy is released in the form of heat, which causes collateral damage, but streaches the ships size, thus accuring top speed of warp 6. But once in Hyperspace it would not be able to decelerate, and come back to "normal" space.
We are urging all scientists to help us with this incredible feat, and all science will accnoladge you, with the release of a published paper
Sorry for the interruption.

You forgot Metodium and Terranium - I heard that these were very unstable and maybe we could use them?

i have a sample of Terranium here, im my lab, if u were willing to send your fleet to pick it up id be happy to give it to y..yes? What do you want admiral korvak?, im busy - you want to know about the doomstar i requested to be stationed at my planet? What do you mean it wont be ready on time? dammit!
Erm....Baelic - about that fleet - can u wait a few days before sending it? |

.../.../...Incoming transmition.........
From the desk of Admiral the of King Phillip II fleet, Baelark Baraken
We have located the coordinates of the last comunication with TerraNova of Galassia. Our Com specialist Captain Baelix seem to be sure of the location. He seems to be 4179 light years away from the main bas, but 1300 lightyears, from where the shipyard is located. The signal picked up by our spy satelite is around this axis: 465 to 470/510-515/30-35
I will contact with more news, as we get updated.

---->Patching through the inter-stellar com-link<---
Good day, colleague!
My name is Iskam Kamenitza. I am the head-of the research facilities in the planet of Bulgaria.
I think we should work together in solving the true nature of the aluminum-adamantium issue.
Indeed Aluminum is a weak and out-dated material, too weak to be used in any form of
space-travel, as it's known that it disintegrates when it reaches speeds more than
warp2. The only place it's still used today, is the Core-Driver, as the nanites have vast
quantities of this metal and it behaves well at speeds up to warp 1.5.
We introduced it to the core of a Mothership by mistake. We sent a Mothership on a
scouting mission, and suddenly all of our surveilance systems failed /even those on
our planet itself/.
The next thing we noticed was that a huuge explosion had occured on coords very far
away from the place where the Mothership was last located. In fact there formed a new star.
We thought it was some kind of a new weapon...
Yet we studied the surveilance video and data received from the Mothership before it
blew up.
On one of the videos /the one regarding the Core-room itself/ we saw a very peculiar
thing.
One of the technichians was working on the 2nd floor of the core, and was drinking beer.
Suddenly, he dropped the empty can into the
core itself by accident.
The most peculliar thing is that actually the new star is located some 2000 ly from the
place where the ship dissapeared.
For now, we think that the overheated Adamantium core interrcats with the aluminum
and thusly the core reaches speeds it's not designed to /we estiwated warp 30 was
achieved/.... Thusly it explodes, but continues to move through space as it can't
fall apart while moving at speeds more than warp 16 - the so-called Warp-effect...
Therefore it keeps heating up, passing even beyond the plasma-state. By the time it
stops, the temperature is enough to form a
small star...
We think that our experience has achieved even more terrible effects than yours, as
I presume you used pure Aluminum...
That wasn't our case... As studying through other beer cans from the same case, we found
out that the cans have mixtures of Iron, Lead and even Wolfram... The thing that is
really peculiar, were traces of Silicium on one of the cans...
We therefore think that the Aluminium is just a catalyser of the process yet needs
other catalysers to achieve even more devastating results....
We are planning a mass series of tests in small /scale 10:1/ models of Mothership's
cores to determine which material is the most destructive catalyser for the A-A
reaction...
Unfortunatelly, we have only limited access to Trintium and unsignificant quantities of
the others. I hope you can help with the tests...
Best regards, Iskam Kamenitza - Chief Scientist of Bulgaria

hehe i like that, ahem...
Comunication Link Activated.....
------->Senior Scientist Baelam Congarg<-------
We well be disposing of the entire mass of the convined atmospheres of two prewarp planets, situated very closely to our own scientific facilities. If the information we received from the NAVY COM department is true, your science facilities are about 1500 lys away, we hope to contact you with more new...

Is it true that iridium also acts as a catalyst in this reaction? A similar thing happened to one of my crew, captain Typho, on a recent reconaissance mission. A short while into the journey the ship lost control and we lost contact. After retrieving the technical data we discovered a small amount of iridium had entered the core room - is this the reason? To this day i have not yet figured out the reason for the meltdown... |

I believe we need a scientific congress where we can discuss this data with more ease. |

Heeey welcome back
TerraNova, my brave ally, fought 1 fleet and 5 planets, but got you that ship you wanted...
It's even better than the mothership, looks like a sport one
