when it says that you will only have two fleets left, does it mean 2 fleets and a base fleet or is the base fleet one of the two fleets? =)

Remember you can have 3 fleets now.
But after you research that tecnology you can only hace 2 fleets (In the fleets screen).
So you need to think much before to research.
Sometime you need that fleet but.....

After final exp you have base and up to 2 extra fleets. (fleet 3 dissapears) So if you wanna do pioneer ship its a very bad idea, otherwise it is fine.
