hi there,
i'm wondering if ships fight in different classes in the same battle?
as an example:
FLEET1 vs FLEET2
1000 fighters no class 1-ships
40 destroyers 40 eagles
18 cruisers 20 cruisers
1 ms 1 ms
as i understood, the fighters and eagles will have the firts turn. but do the eagles also fight against the destroyers, or won't they fight again, 'cause they already did their job against the fighters? in this case, the destroyers would face the cruisers and so on...?
i didn't post this in the br section, 'cause i don't a br for this special case...

Well the eagles would not fight again cos the fighters would have shot them all, but if some survived cos of a shield generator or something, then they could fight in there own class. |

so this means, that 40 eagles are fighting against 1000 fighters, not against only 40 and therefore will be destroyed?
then, what is with the battle example in the manual: 8 fgtr + 1 cmd-fgtr (9 vessels) vs. 7 fgtr + 6 mosq (13 vessels)...?
There they say, that only 9 vessels each (the minimum of the two fleets) are fighting...?!
i think they also say the same in the detailed battle report example in the manual.... |

All ships that can shoot get a shot if there is something to shoot at. |

In that case /no class1/ 4 things should happen:
1. Your eagles kill 40 fighters
2. 400 fighters kill 40 eagles as 10 fighters kill 1 eagle...
3. Since you lost all eagles /and all class2/ that means that his 40 destroyers will go against your class3... which means you'll loose 4 cruisers yet kill only 18 destroyers...
4. At the class3 battle since he has more cruisers than you it'll either be a draw /if your cruiser shoots first / or you'll loose additional 60 points...
So the summary is:
class killed lost total
1 40*1=40 40*4 =160 /-120/
2 18*8=144 4*60=240 /-96/
3 13*60=780 14*60=840 /-60/
So in the worst case you'll loose 276 points... It depends on wheither his destroyers fired before your cruisers and who fires first in class3... So you will loose from 156-276 points, but definately loose in that battle... |

Since you all are on this subject, when attacking how is the order of fleets determined as to who attacks first. |
