ok, maybe i didn't get it how the battles are calculated. but why is the EAGLE called "a modified destroyer"..?
if i put 3 destroyers against 3 destroyers, the randomly attacking side gets a score of 8 and the other a score of -8. ok.
but if i put 3 destroyers against 3 eagles, the one with the eagles will get a score of -12(!), while the "destroyer" get +12....
well, 5 or 6 eagles will destroy a destroyer (nice to play with words...!), but what is an eagle good for in a battle between (these specific) class 2-ships?!
ok, it's mentioned in the manual, that en eagle kills a class 1-fighter. obviously. but they will only fight, if the owner of the eagles doesn't have class 1-ships, right?
so what do i use these birds for...?! |

Well, generally 1 eagle can't destroy 1 destroyer... Yet, eagles are good because you can have a maximum of around 600 destroyer + 1 mothership, but also 1200 eagles...
The eagle is good vs. less armoured ships like those @!#%$  troika modules -4/4, cause it takes 2 eagles to kill 1 module while 3 modules kill 1 eagle...
The eagle is not good vs. destroyers, but it does a great job vs. lower class - like fighters - 1 eagle kills 1 fighter, 10 fighters kill 1 eagle... |

ok, metody, i c. thx for your response and of course you're right, eagles are good in combination with other ships. that's something i just didn't think about. i think it's up to me to read the manual and tech description again more carefully slowly, it becomes clear to me that it's a game about strategy and espacially combined forces...
i'm curious what other "fruits" i'm gonna find to pick from the tech tree  |
