I guess that u can be put into the alliance automaticly, when you start up, Unless you chack it in the registering. Oh, yeah and names?

The Horde and The Alliance.... W8, already taken er...
Klingons VS Starfleet Federation....
How about Black and white or something, or make more than 2 for each of the strategies you want to learn....

I like "The Boot Camp Alliance" It is respectful and denotes that the alliance is soldiers in training.

I can't come up with anything else atm for the "other team" that does the same thing.
How about "The Cadets" ????

It needs to be something that newbies and noobs are going to know that it is the noob alliance.

If you want, I could make a persuasive recruitment topic.

How about this:

1:Boot Camp Class 1
2:Boot Camp Class 2
3:Boot Camp Class 3
4:Boot Camp Advanced
5:Boot Camp Communication and Alliance Tactics
6:Boot Camp War Tactics
7:Boot Camp Advanced Tactics Black
8:Boot Camp Advanced Tactics White

Out of this, you can get yourself a sort of grade, with the things you learned, with a score and stuff, and therefor, future alliances know where you are specialized in. You can complete multiple courses, and when ready, u get away and your completed camps+score is shown on your com screen.

Maybe even a special search can be added. These Camps should not be real alliances with the ability to get high scores, lose flags and stuff, only the last two should, and only for themselves. After completing about say 10-20 battles, you get a notice that you have completed the "tutorial" and can now get into the new world.

What about it? Good idea?

It would be a good Idea DD if there was going to be evolution among the same players.
The Training alliance will have a "revolving door " however with new players joining all the time and players who consistantly win getting booted out to fend for themselves or join other alliances.
For this reason I think the training alliances will remain in the basement standings.
Of course, as long as the 2 training alliances fight each other only, their standing may stay somewhat stable and respectable.

I hope other alliances respect the importance of new guys fighting against new guys only and do not try to "cash in" on easy points by attacking them.

I think arrangments could be made with some other alliances to "punish" anyone who tries to exploit the new players for easy score

Well, my idea is quite off topic, therefor, it can now be found here:

just an idea here..

How about you make a script for noobs. they are given a few tutorial missions with some bonus for completing the tutorial (say 2 deeps scans or a research done.. or even a star beside there name! something) the tutorial should be composed of lil missions..

like how to add people to comm. how to search, how to make an attack (you could fast forward the eta and let them see the result of the scripted attack on an imaginary target and than help them read and understand the imaginary br line by line. meanwhile nonreducing them to different classes and the basic ships.) have em build some ships.. do a research. lunch a probe.. send a msg to an imaginary alliance asking to join! receiving a msg back with an scripted tag. input the tag! join alliance.. learn the static page.. learn what mtwg is.. bla bla! all in a scripted generalized tutorial before they join the actual game!

i promise you you'll have more people staying around and also better noobs! i used the same tactic! should be a bit of work.. but works better than any noob alliance could! and btw you gona need more than 1 person as a leader of a noob alliance to efficiently teach the noobs! i'm not talking out of my ass here! i owned 2 of such alliances before! 1 person can't handle all the questions when the alliance gets to big!

just my 2 cents!

There is only one problem with your idea Mighty, namely, that it would be like any other MORTS...

The new player alliances have not started yet as it needs admin to do some changes to the new accounts so new players get offered the chance to join up.
I assume admin will also start the alliances and hand them over to the chosen leaders so..atm...new players are still on their own.

These names are ok.. little plain but they get the point across.. I like Twilight Force, but.... i think you might need to "spice" up The Guild.. way too vague..

What Guild? just THE GUILD...? and it sound weird..

you might want to put something in there to clear up things.. just my thoughts..

some changes id make? The Guild of Noobs.. lol, jk

The Guild of Soldiers.. or something like that.. GoS
