implenting the ST universe in Celestia

Okay, this might take some time, but as the title says, we might implent the ST universe in Celestia, an open source program in which you can travel trough space, and, when you know the programming code, you can add other planets, so, why not let people on the forum make their own planet (or with some help) then put the files together and put it on the ST site to download.
Well good idea? It will probably also come on the Celestia website, as it is open source.

if everyone could place it on the right place, then we would have a complete ST universe! Think of it! even more detailed planets, people can study it there, and if it's going to be placed here, admin or somebody else probably wouldn't mind doing the research center etc. orbiting around your planet... it will take some time for everyone to do this so it might take a year doing this, and after that we'll be able to let people download it, which will also give us some more fame ...

That's why i said a year time, but everyone can do his own planet, and/or help someon else with theirs, so it will be done quicker.

@KoT: Reread the post from the beginning, but know in small pieces, from like er... three words? Maybe one or two sentences at a time but it might overload you...

tell me if im stupid, but you mean to say we make a second spacetrace, but only with planets. Kinda like making a map of spacetrace? with details about the planets? seems cool.

Altough KoT didn't understand it the first time, he is right, it will be a map of spacetrace, with details about the planets and stuff... ofcourse everything on the right place...

as a linux user i know celestia. this would be absolutely great ! but i guess it is a lot of work .

i will take another look at celestia to check out if we have chance to do it

It WILL take a lot of work to do, but at the end, it will be wonderfull! And as i said, we can always do it ourselfs, with a little bit help from each other, afterwards, everyone who taked place in this project will be honoured on the ST forum, as the recreators of the ST universe, now, what was the name again... er... oh yeah: CG251, if we want we can rename, it, suggest some names if possible...

@KoT yes, it will probably look like that.
