transwarp-network (building)
this is the accessgate to the transwarp-network between the planets of your alliance. within the transwarptunnels you can travel at high speed.
once you leave a tunnel the fleet continues with normal warp-speed.
transwarp can only be used between alliance members which both have a transwarp-gate built.

This is normal! Imagine a Warp Channel which can only built up between two of those gates! |

When your transwarp is destroyed at your planet, no-one can travel to you at warp 15.
But how come, you cant use the transwarps of other alliance members who still have them to travel to other allies.
I first noticed this when my transwarp was destroyed whilst I was at the black hole,I travelled to the nearest ally, then to the nearest ally to my planet, but could only travel at warp 5.
What I mean is, I understand why I couldnt travel to my planet at warp 15, I dont understand why I couldnt travel bettween planets with transwarps up and running or the mtg at warp 15 |

the transwarp gate not only is a gate but it also has to create a trans-warp resonance wave throughout the whole network to let your fleets travel on transwarp.
transwarp is somewhat more advanced than you think. it uses a lot of energy that has to be induced somewhere so every world must have its onw transwarp-gate building from where it charges the network on its own resonance frequency.
(we thought you all know this technical stuff thats why we didn't mention it in the manual ) |

so lets resume. i got this question:
Quote: | Do you just leave from your planet to another planet of your allies that has one and it's automatic, or do you have to do something else? One of my allies is using it now and his fleet is only claiming a warp 5, where will it express warp 15? |
i think the explanation is somewhere in the forum already but it is like this:
if you want to travel at transwarp you can only do that between members, that both have built the TWN (Transwarp-network).
if only one has it, it does not suffice. and you can only travel between these planets.
once you leave the transwarptunnel by changing the coords while you are flying, then you cannot go back into transwarp.
the Network can only be accessed by the TWG (or the mobile TWG)
and here is the explanation of the mobile TWG

your fleets need the backup resonance frequency from your own TWN at your planet. every Fleet has its own unique sub-band-frequency that enables the transwarp space-time-dispacement.

If Transwarp is supposed to be warp 15 then why when prophets alone are only sent at "transwarp 3" and scouts can go at "transwarp 27"? Is it supposed to multiply by three or is the transwarp supposed to be a set warp factor?

Transwarp = X3
1X3=3
5X3=15
9X3=27
Your prophet is going transwarp 3 and your scout is traveling at transwarp 27.

If you want your prophet to go faster, use a fleet tender to carry it. It will be as fast as the scout. Then... Use your imagination. |
