We need a weekly/monthly contest. For a reward you could get credits or 1 instant research.
...It could be a hold ______(planet name) at ___:___:__(coords) for X amount of days/hours/min/seconds. |

I think it would be nice to have some forum competitions. Ingame theres enough competition already

we thought of adding some quest - from easy to hard
* send a probe there
* colonize a planet
* win a battle
* ...
* win 5 battles in a row
* ...
and a rating system for it . like novice, commander , admiral, grand admiral etc.
this could be motivating for newbies... |

maybe there could be also personalized quests, that contain the name of your Planet and description or such.
like
"Urgent message for Wizzard of Oz: ...bzzzt... Near your Planet Oxumpaumpf, there is a stranded ...bzzzt... colony fleet with some lost chrono pods, that needs your help, visit the planet and destroy the apostate sphere in orbit..."
maybe as popup when you login

there could be some quests with time limit
or with a time bonus, that goes down after time...

all quests should be assigned to a certain title, that you can gain if you have collected all the objectives, for example: "commander" will be shown in your ingame name, if you have reached a certain level, or the color changes , ...
