here some thoughts for next era:

- (i must admit that we were pretty sure to implement this)
we want to make the ri connected to the terraformer status, and expand the time it takes for a colony to evolve . so... after 80 days the planets would give full ri.

- i thougt it would be fun to move the score planets (black hole , nebula etc.) to the inner brigde colonies of the central cluster (peleponesos delta, ocularus prime etc.)
then there could be some nice confrontations between pirates and colonizers

- the evo time should be as long as the era lenght. for that we would shorten the era time to 90 days (so you can play one era from the beginning to the end)

what do you think

I like the whole concept except for RI development I think would be too slow.
You get to max RI just before the era ends. No time to enjoy the full capable RI except for final 10 days.

Maybe consider having full RI develop earlier? Say 50% of Evo time ?

It then allows enjoyment of one's efforts for a longer period of time?

Just a first idea with no consideration of the consequences however you are definitely more in tune with the colony game than me.

yes, lets test these ideas.

i really like moving scoreplanets to the bridges. it will make for interesting battles on the main bridges.

maybe you are right t2

at the time the terraforming curve is a exponetial growth... fast in the beginning - slow in the end.

i think i would be nice to have 3 thirds with a differnt curve (sin(x0=270))

first third slow growing.

second third fast growing.

last third full ri

so we would have 3 different phases - each 30 days -with different game play.
(era length shortend to 90 days)

remember that if the ri is small for all, it's easier to join the game because the basic ri has more weight.

at the time we have a 20 day expansion phase and then 80 days the same...

i think it would be good if even smaller alliances could secure some bases.

lets say each alliance can build max. 5 fortification buildings (not on bridge coloies) that increase the organization to 200% (or more)

this way new alliance can try to start without being harassed right from the beginning.

I dont like the fortification building idea. I feel its something that would overcomplicate things. Besides, wasnt the colony game meant to favour bigger alliances? And also, if we have 20 alliances in the future, all colonies will be covered with those fortifications...

If, then i would balance this a bit differently. I would increase the number of clusters while reducing the number of planets in them with bridgeplanets being harder to conquer (lets say bridges have a constant 200 percent organization). That way even a small alliance can "own" a small cluster by defending it with all its members.
