Congratulations Spacetrace

I just wanted to send a heartfelt thanks and congratulations to the Spacetrace team with the changes they have implemented with the new look and the colony game on the pre-warps.
It is all good and should provide an interesting experience to new players who are not yet adept at stacking battle fleets. This should help in retaining new recruits.
Overall, my impressions of the colony game is very favorable however, from what I've seen, different strategics are employed. Large alliances is definitely an asset to the colony game. The level of co-ordination needed is much simpler.

thx for the post. anyway we have 10 years st now (the admin account was registered 30.10.2001)

we play the colony game for a while now with some unexperienced players and it is very playable - easy to start - but different from other games : newbies are absolutely welcome and valuable for the CG. even if new players are not that active, they are very useful for an alliance.

But the tactical skills of experienced players are still of great use.

at least we have one player who stopped st a while ago because it was too complicated, but now he enjoys the CG and is really thrilled by it - it's the best start for a newbie: build some attack forces , click on the map and attack

it's really fun. it would be even more fun if about 200 players would play it! we will adjust some stuff for next era (slower evolving of the reinforcements) and this should make it even more fun.

Yup. Spacetrace is still pretty much the best game there is ; )
But we need more players, man. Then its 10 times better!!!
