| I just bombarded an allied colony(accidentally). I was thinking that you shouldn't be givven the option to. no damage was done, only awsted some time. |

you could use it tactical:
see, that someone is attacking your colony: you evacuate all your troops and then you bombard it to drop the organisation, then you can easily recapture it  |

That would seem like bug-using to me, because it is so illogical.
I don't like it, that the low organization of bombed enemy troops "jump over" to your own troops after conquering the colony.
It makes the bombers nearly useless on frequently attacked planets. |
