settler probe

the settler probe carries an automated computer which runs from your own research center. this computer can destroy/move ships in your fleets. the settler probe will only work if your fleets are heading for the co-ordinates of the probe. you do not have to be at the co-ordinates of the settler probe, but your fleets do have to be in the line of your base and the probe, much like a twn. for each ship you destory, you lose the amount of mp in points. for each ship you move, you donĀ“t lose any points, hoever, you can only move a maximum of 5 different types of ships. the settle probe can not be used in conjunction with any other probe, and once the fleet you have used leaves, your settler probe is automatically destroyed.

you mean like a line or beam between your base and this probe, and when two fleets are travelling along that line then you can swap ships between them even if they are not on the same coords?
the idea is interesting...would be useful to resupply fleets far from the base instantly. but then it should have something negative like you lose 10% of the mp of ships transported through that line. so you cant use it to swap and reswap and rereswap before battle.

but i'm still not quite sure what YOU meant by this invention MJ

beam me up scotty

maybe we could balance it, if there are only certain ships to be beamed? or only a certain small amount?

The "small" ships only, like Star Gate SG-1(the other 2 suck). Fighters destroyers, cruisers and ms. Ships without a special ability.
