yes they are fun and fresh and it's a great comic style - but concistency in this game is another thing... we gotta do anything in a more comic style...

i think we gotta stick with the scientific style.

@admin: mixing the styles would make no sense... can be confusing - anyway, the 240 versions of the genesis project just looks great

but we talked about ideas of using fun comics elsewhere...
warning signs, somethings goes wrong etc...

I like the "comic" versions too, but the admins are right about keeping the graphic style consistent throughout the game. I will try to do the "scientific" pictures as interesting as possible.

And as spacetrace said, we have some nice plans for the "comic" style too; )

@senor : you can also try to have different background colors depending on the invention: fanatic warfare slightly dark red, emp : blueish (kazuuula) , gravobionic : greenish ...

That's an interesting idea. I will try some color combinations based on different aspects (defensive technology versus offensive technology, race colors etc).
But tomorrow i think : )

i think the best idea with colors is to keep it simple.
I will make all general researches with the blue background, but the race specific ones i will do with the race colors.

this is the new leadership picture. its pretty self explanatory and straightforward. some navy insignia used.
