I am going to work on a new TCC (the hyperdrop calculator) which should run in JS fine as it does not use the extensive loops that the vc does.

i am very curious.
is there something to try out the new ttc.js already?

New vc.zip posted...original vc.exe (compiled in DJGPP/GCC) remains unchanged...new "VCDevC.exe" (compiled in Developer C++) posted...this one has the dos console disabled (mostly).
Working on finding best compiler (probably C++) and make (this new Dev C++ rocks along with DJGPP/GCC and Watcom) ...and trying to get things going in Microsoft Visual Studio (MS sucks ).
Download address remains the same...
The new TTC will go up in 24h or so as well....

We will be using this new Visual Studio 8.0 on this one, starting in visual basic then porting to the new C#.
I tried C# earlier as a test. I get the ability to add js scripts, htmls, css and etc and load / modify them. It is C++ taken to java IMHO giving C++ efficency and speed to an internet app
The app will write and run css / html similar to the way ST already does it but, considerably faster.
I think we may all see C# phasing out java within a few years.

The code for this application was lost on my pc stolen in SF recently (along with reneé's portable usb hd with all the backups as well) Anyone who downloaded a prior release (with the *.cpp and *.h c++ codes files and has them still please send to me here in forum msg's or ingame...will be a pm spam though but, np on that).
Otherwise....1 full day to recode so, I can proceed with development
Current zip file on our server has the code files omitted (bad mistake )

This app is due for major changes an improved alogorythym to reduce exe calc time to a few microseconds (will be able to provide "mouse cursor tags" to the probes menu to give you the vc results as you move the cursor over that particular probe)
And an html / js version is possible after the improved alogorythym

David has to go inactive for a few days, programmers convention again in SF, I will remain to recieve any code anyone may be able to send.

Coding his new alogarythym keeps me busy today while I retaliate on a "psuedo-noob" (another vet using the "noob label") who hit his base earlier

Starting implementation of the new alogarythym and this will render the old version obsolete anyway

Both applications (vc.exe and tcc_js.html get an update tomorrow).
Testing will be done at a very distant pre-warp as we will be making simulated runs on the pre-warp / each other and the massive number of course changes would ikely create alot of alarm with false incomings esp. if we set for an online player's base inavertantly but anyone who gets an incoming from david or I can disregard it as it wont be on very long
We are also working on BM's idea of fleet intercepting / merging (via auto-navigation concepts), so a new app will appear later this week.

This application and the TTC hyperdrop calculator will be updated by tomorrow.
Getting alot of test results to speed up development.
New TTC will be a downloadable exe that will run offline or on. (like the vc already does)

3 hours into that modification and getting late so, better try to finish this up by tomorrow evening or I will be dreaming in vb code
Those apps grew into some really massive code files :S and hard to sort out after 6 month out of programming it all.
G' night
Current versions of those two apps are on my server since last week and will be updated within 24h.
