I just tried to decloak a cloaked fleet and probe did not work.

Decloak probes worked a few days ago but now it won't

Can a cloaked fleet be made invulernable to decloak and if so...how?

Only two things I can think of:

1.) Fleet was in protection mode, brand new, and not affected.

2.) Player was online, saw fleet become de-cloaked, and quickly re-cloaked.

I can personally attest to the possibility of the second option, as can you, T2, since it was you, so long ago, that ruined an attack of mine by re-cloaking your fleet before I could strike.

As for the first, it tells you the fleet is protected, so unlikely you would have missed that.

If neither of these, then, unknown error exists.

This must be the answer... I'll try again

Second attempt to decloak fleet ended in failure as well.
In this case, it is highly unlikely owner of the fleet re-cloaked in time as time was random, no fleets of mine present to give away intent.

Please check out the decloak probe to see if it does function still and if it does, again I'll ask if there is any way to make a fleet immune to decloak effects.

if its at home and there is a cloak generator then you can't uncloak it as probe won't work against a base cloak. however if it's just a cloak fleet in middle of space then there should be no reason other then protection. in which case it is most likely a bug.

Yes...a decloaker would not affect a cloaked base but cloaked bases are very easy to identify from DSP or Com list.

I think a bug may be happening...no other explaination that comes to mind.

No...it was not yours Drakal.
I'm not sure if you can use a Shadow Star sucessfully at a score planet ?

Now a Pirate flag ship is a wonderful thing to help break up a strong score planet defense but a Shadow Star can only help you a little to decide WHEN your going to fight or prevent you getting wiped out while your off line.

I like them for carrying around high risk ships that I don't necessarily want to fight with except against special opponent fleets. For instance, I don't want my evaporator's fighting against enemy C1 ships so I keep them tucked in my Shadow Star fleet until I need them to take out a Swank Fleet or to carry around an eye-in-the-sky probe
