What do you guys think of having an oscillator probe and ship combo similar to the eye in the sky? That way you could detect other probes within the area of your fleet to see who has a scan on you. _________________ STFU N00B!!!!111!1!

Not a bad idea..... somehow although, I think the fixed in position Oscillator probe is a better option. A movable oscillator would make things too handy for players/alliances to keep tabs on who is watching who.
I think it might take some of the ummmm...how do I say it........some of the frustration factor inherent within the game is having to build and then rebuild certain types of probes to see whats going on around your base or alliance.
Being able to load up a fleet with eye in the sky and movable osc probe gives almost too much info to a player too easy.
Given a choice, I would sooner this movable probe than the current changes that has happened with the CTF portion of the game.
I personally do not like the CTF changes that have happened. The additional MP does nothing to help protect your flag but does impose uncontrollable restrictions and random MP deletions on the FC when the flag moves on to the next guy.
Lets go back to the way it was. There was nothing wrong with it before the changes were made |

i don't think this is really needed.
if implemented it would have to take one probe slot from you. and it's really not tactically advanteous to have a constant oscillation on a target or your base. oscillation probes are usually used in war when you need to find out which enemies are targeting which players. or when you need to locate enemy probes for scrambling. on these cases i don't see the advantage of having the oscillator as a ship. |
